A heartfelt thank you to all the lovely souls who joined our Immersive Yin Yoga session yesterday!

There’s something truly special about these gatherings—being gently challenged to find stillness in both body and mind, and opening up space for personal discoveries along the way. As one participant beautifully said, “It was a challenging and enjoyable session simultaneously.” Aw, the quiet magic of Yin Yoga practice.

We’ll continue flowing with our weekly Yin-to-Yang sessions every Thursday, and stay tuned… more Sunday events are on the horizon ✨

I am deeply committed to offering authentic Yin Yoga—rooted in proper training, understanding, and respect for the practice—so our community can experience it in a safe, meaningful, and genuinely transformative way.

Ready to refresh your body and mind in the middle of your day?

Come experience Aerial Yoga — a unique, uplifting practice where a soft hammock supports you as you move, stretch, and explore new possibilities in your practice.

It’s a fun and effective way to build strength, increase flexibility, and improve balance, all while feeling supported.

Using the hammock allows you to deepen stretches, gently release tension in the spine, and move more freely than in traditional mat-based yoga. Whether you're new or experienced, the practice adapts to you — offering both ease and challenge where you need it.

Each session blends breathwork, mindful movement, and a soothing guided relaxation in the hammock.

Take this time to pause, reset, and step back into your day feeling lighter, calmer, and more grounded.

📅 Tuesdays at 12:30pm

Back in my city of origin, Greece, and my heart is so full 🤍

It was such a joy to be welcomed into Maria’s beautiful studio and share a donation-based Seasonal Yoga class.

The space, the energy, and the people who gathered made it a truly special experience.

We practised for a meaningful cause, with all proceeds donated to , which made the evening feel even more heartfelt and connected.

I loved introducing Seasonal Yoga to a community where this approach is not yet widely known. It was wonderful to see everyone embrace a different, more attuned way of moving and being — one that honours the rhythms of nature and ourselves.

Feeling deeply grateful for the warmth, openness, and curiosity I was met with. And so happy to be sharing this nourishing and integrative practice beyond borders 🌿

Πίσω στην πόλη όπου μεγάλωσα, στην Ελλάδα, και η καρδιά μου είναι γεμάτη 🤍

Ήταν πραγματικά χαρά μου να διδάξω στο όμορφο στούντιο της Μαρίας και να μοιραστούμε μαζί ένα μάθημα Seasonal Yoga με ελεύθερη συνεισφορά.

Ο χώρος, η ενέργεια και οι άνθρωποι που συμμετείχαν έκαναν αυτή την εμπειρία ξεχωριστή.

Το μάθημα ηταν για έναν όμορφο σκοπό, καθώς όλα τα έσοδα προσφέρθηκαν στην Ελληνική Αντικαρκινική Εταιρεία - ΕΑΕ, κάτι που έκανε τη συνάντησή μας ακόμη πιο ουσιαστική.

Χάρηκα πολύ που μπόρεσα να παρουσιάσω τη Seasonal Yoga σε μια κοινότητα όπου αυτή η προσέγγιση δεν είναι ακόμη ευρέως γνωστή. Ήταν υπέροχο να τους βλέπω όλους να αγκαλιάζουν ένα διαφορετικό τρόπο πρακτικής — έναν τρόπο που τιμά τους ρυθμούς της φύσης και του εαυτού μας.

Νιώθω βαθιά ευγνωμοσύνη για τη ζεστασιά και την αποδοχή που εισέπραξα, και μεγάλη χαρά που μπορώ να μοιράζομαι αυτή την ολιστική πρακτική πέρα από σύνορα 🌿

Επιστρέφοντας από τη διακοπή του Πάσχα, υποδεχόμαστε στο Maria Kyrma Dance & Yoga την Andriani's Ahimsa Yoga για μια πρακτική Seasonal Yoga Flow, ώστε να έρθουμε σε επαφή με την Άνοιξη που τόσο μας αντιστέκεται φέτος!

Το βιογραφικό της Ανδριανής και μια περιγραφή του μαθήματος:

Η Ανδριανή είναι πιστοποιημένη δασκάλα γιόγκα 500 ωρών και εκπαιδεύτρια δασκάλων, με έδρα τη Σκωτία, και εφαρμόζει μια προσέγγιση με επίγνωση στο τραύμα (trauma-informed yoga). Με βάση την αρχή της ahimsa —καλοσύνη, συμπόνια και σεβασμός προς όλα τα όντα— η διδασκαλία της ενθαρρύνει τους μαθητές να κινούνται με επίγνωση και να εμβαθύνουν τη σύνδεσή τους με το σώμα, την αναπνοή και το μυαλό. Αντλώντας από τα Seasonal, το Yin, το Aerial και το Restorative Yoga, ενσωματώνει κίνηση, αναπνοές, διαλογισμό και φιλοσοφία για να δημιουργήσει μαθήματα που προσφέρουν υποστήριξη και φροντίδα. Παθιασμένη με τη δια βίου μάθηση, καθοδηγεί τους μαθητές και τους επίδοξους δασκάλους να εξερευνήσουν τη γιόγκα ως ένα μονοπάτι αυτογνωσίας, ισορροπίας και συνειδητής ζωής, τόσο πάνω στο στρώμα όσο και εκτός αυτού.

Το Seasonal Yoga είναι μια μορφή πρακτικής σχεδιασμένη να μας ευθυγραμμίσει με την μεταβαλλόμενη ενέργεια των εποχών και της φύσης, ενώ παράλληλα στοχεύει να μας υποστηρίξει στη βελτίωση της ευεξίας μας. Είναι μια όμορφη σύνθεση αρχών της Hatha Yoga και της Παραδοσιακής Κινέζικης Ιατρικής. Το μάθημα περιλαμβάνει κινήσεις Qi-gong και ροή στάσεων που ταιριάζουν με την αντίστοιχη ενεργειακή ροή της εποχής, μαζί με αναπνευστικές ασκήσεις που ακολουθούνται από τελική χαλάρωση/καθοδηγούμενο διαλογισμό.

*To μάθημα θα πραγματοποιηθεί στα Αγγλικά.

Your hip flexors are probably the tightest muscle group in your body. And most stretches barely touch them.

This position works differently. Suspended in the AntiGravity Hammock, gravity becomes a tool. The spine decompresses passively, the vertebrae create space, and the hip flexors finally get the deep release that floor-based stretching can't reach.

Three things happening at once:
Spinal decompression through passive traction. Reduced joint load on the wrists and shoulders. Deep myofascial release targeting the hip flexors and lower back.
One position. No compression. No strain.

This is what it means to work with gravity instead of against it.

✨ Aerial Yoga – Your Midday Reset ✨

Looking for a way to move, stretch, and reset in the middle of your day?

Join me for Aerial Yoga — a supportive, playful practice using a soft hammock to help you explore movement in a whole new way. Expect to build strength, improve flexibility, and develop balance and body awareness… all while being gently supported.

The hammock allows for a deeper experience than mat-based yoga, helping you access stretches more fully, decompress the spine, and move with greater ease. It can also make the practice more accessible, while still offering opportunities to challenge yourself.

Each class includes breathwork, flowing movement, and a deeply relaxing guided rest in the hammock ✨

This is your time to pause, reconnect, and return to your day feeling lighter, calmer, and rebalanced.

Last Thursday of the month means a post-class lunch!

Another great weekend with our teacher trainees at the Stirling Seasonal Yoga Teacher Training 🧘‍♀️

We enjoyed slow winter practices, explored advanced pranayama techniques and journeyed deeper in the philosophy of the Yamas.

A special appreciation to our own lovely The Yoga Tree Stirling studio — the perfect space to hold this work and these connections 💚

Module 5 and the first of the year completed — time is flying! Lovely to witness our trainees finding their voice and developing their practice.
