To start a habit of gratefulness, consistently engage in daily gratitude practices like keeping a journal, expressing thanks to others, using mindfulness techniques, or setting daily reminders on your phone. Choose a specific time or cue, such as right after waking up, before bed, or during a meal, to integrate these activities into your routine. Be patient, as it takes consistent practice to make gratitude a sustainable habit that brings lasting emotional benefits.
Before you go to sleep 😴 tonight, no matter how challenging your day was ask yourself what 3 things you are grateful for. Even if it’s only the sun on your face or a smile from a stranger, you can always find something to be grateful for.
This shifts your perspective from anxiety and fear to one of gratitude and love 🥰 it also trains the mind to focus on the “glimmers” of the day and notice the small things that bring you joy.
