Do you get ‘sticky hips’? Try these.
What do I mean by ‘sticky hips’?
That tight, stuck, compressed feeling, like your hips just won’t move freely, especially after sitting, driving, or being stressed and tense.
Often it’s not just the hips, it’s everything through the front body.
The hip flexors, quads, and the fascia around them (especially where they attach at the front of the pelvis) can get literally ‘gunked up’ and ‘stuck’ together, especially if you're spending lots of time sitting, stressed, or stuck in overthinking mode.
An overactive nervous system = chronic tension in these areas.
And that tightness in the front body can be a huge contributor to back pain, because it stops your back body from being able to fully extend or switch on properly.
These movements are a way to gently release that tension, through fascia, muscle, and nervous system, without force.
They’re simple, somatic, and nervous-system safe.
Give your body permission to let go.
Benefits of releasing the front body fascia + muscles:
• Freer hip mobility• Less compression through the low back• Better posture + spinal extension• More connection with your body• Reduced stored stress + tension
These videos are sped up, take your time with them.
Aim for 1 minute per leg per movement, daily if you can.
Move slow. Pause where it feels good. Breathe into it. Use your intuition.
And if you have a knee issues please consult your GP/practitioner beforehand, or have had a hip or knee replacement I would advise against.
Save this if you sit a lot, have low back pain, or feel stuck in your hips.
Much love 🫶
