A friendly peer support group for anyone living with Fibromyalgia or another form of chronic pain 💜

Please note: The former Pain Cafe and Fibro Cafe have now merged; so please don't attend the previous separate locations or times.

Come and connect, socialise, and share experiences with others who are in the same boat. You don’t have to face it alone.

The people who work at your GP practice team all have different roles. From admin staff to specialist health professionals, your practice team has a range of skills to support you. This means you may not always need to see a GP.

We additionally have a team of first contact physiotherapists, midwives and clinical pharmacists at the practice who may be able to help you.

🌼 Free Monthly Activity Sessions for People Aged 75+! 🌼

We’re pleased to share details of new Re-Engage charity events supporting older adults in our community.

📍 Venue: Gatley Hill House, 110 Church Road, Gatley, SK8 4EY
🗓️ When: 2nd Tuesday of every month
🚀 Launch Date: Tuesday 12th August 2025
🕛 Time: 12pm–2pm

These free events are open to anyone aged 75 or over. It’s a lovely way to meet new people and enjoy a relaxed, sociable afternoon.

🎬 We’re proud to share this brilliant video, featuring actor John Henshaw, helping to raise awareness of the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme.

This quick, 10-minute scan could save lives by detecting dangerous aneurysms early – and it’s completely painless. Results are given straight away.

AAA screening is offered to all men over the age of 64. Anyone assigned male at birth who is over the age of 64 can have it.

You may have heard that the NHS is beginning to roll out weight loss injections (Tirzepatide/Mounjaro) over the next three years.

However, they are not yet available in Greater Manchester in GP practices, hospitals, or specialist weight management services.

Breast screening plays a key role in spotting breast cancer early, when it’s easier to treat. Women aged 50 to 71 are invited every 3 years for a simple breast X-Ray (mammogram), which looks for cancers which are too small for you to feel or see. It only takes a few minutes, and the mammographer is female and will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable.
