Elite athletes don’t just rest and stretch until the pain goes away. They build tissue resilience. 🏋️‍♂️ If you’re dealing with desk-worker back pain, the solution isn’t another passive stretch, it’s getting stronger.

ACL injury doesn’t affect everyone the same way.
Some people recover, pain settles, and they’re back to normal.

Others feel the knee give way in reactive movements, in sport, sometimes just walking on uneven ground.

When the knee gives way repeatedly, the load shifts onto the meniscus.
Over time, that turns a manageable injury into a complex one.

The goal isn’t just to fix the ligament. It’s to rebuild confidence and strength through the whole joint.

Surgery or no surgery, the rehabilitation is non-negotiable.

Your nervous system isn’t broken. It’s overprotective.
After an injury, it remembers. And until it trusts the movement again, it blocks it. That’s not a weakness. That’s biology.
The way you rebuild that trust? Slow, controlled, pain-free movement. Repeated over time. That’s not just exercise. That’s retraining the system that decides what you’re allowed to do.
This is why pain can persist long after a scan shows nothing wrong. The tissue healed. The nervous system didn’t get the memo.

5 weeks. 5 exercises. One knee that’s ready to move again.

This is what a real knee rehab progression looks like. Not random exercises. A structured plan that builds week by week.

Every week earns the next one. Skip a stage and you’re building on a foundation that isn’t ready.

Save this if you’re working your way back from a knee injury 💾

Marathon done… now the recovery starts

Huge well done to everyone who ran the London Marathon today (and Manchester last week) 👏

The next 24–72 hours are when your legs tend to tighten up the most — and it’s a really good window to stay on top of it before things properly stiffen up.

I’ve opened up a few sports massage slots tomorrow for post-marathon recovery.

I’m also running a block booking offer:
👉 5 sessions for £150 (usually £200)
(valid for 12 weeks — ideal if you want to recover properly over the next few weeks)

Limited slots available tomorrow — message me if you want one.

Your disc can heal. But your habits won’t fix themselves.

Disc herniations can actually recover on their own. Most people don’t know that.

But here’s what happens when you ignore it for years. Your body starts to compensate. Muscles tighten up. You avoid the movements that load that area. And over time, you become less and less tolerant to load.

Then one day you try to do something you haven’t done in a while. And the old injury comes straight back. Not because the disc failed again, but because nothing around it was prepared.

The longer you leave it, the harder the road back becomes.

If your back has been “fine” for years but you still can’t trust it, that’s your sign.

An ice pack can’t diagnose you.

It doesn’t know if your back hurts because of stiff hips, years of loading one side more than the other, or a previous injury you’ve been working around.

Icing, stretching and resting all treat the same thing. The sensation. They change how it feels, but they don’t get to WHY it became painful in the first place.

Those things aren’t bad. But they’re not the answer on their own.
The first step is finding your why. Everything else comes after that.

Just got a knee injury diagnosis?

Before you decide anything, here are the three scenarios that change your entire treatment path.

Scenario 1 — Genuine structural damage (complete ACL, complex meniscus): Get a surgeon’s opinion. This one matters.

Scenario 2 — Structural integrity maintained (partial ACL, non-complex meniscus): Rehab can restore full movement. You may not need surgery at all.

Scenario 3 — Normal scan, still in pain: The question shifts from what is painful to why it’s painful. The body is in protection mode — and rehab is often the most effective tool here.

Most people panic about surgery before they even know which scenario applies to them.

Know your scenario first.

Your scan came back clear. You're still in pain. Nobody can tell you why.

Here's what's actually happening.

Your nervous system learned that movement is dangerous — and until it feels safe again, the pain signals stay on.

The tissue can be completely healthy. The pain is still very real.

Two people. Same injury. Same scan. One has no pain. One can barely move. That's not weakness — that's biology.

Recovery isn't about fixing the scan. It's about making movement feel safe again.

Same title. Completely different job.

Most people don’t know there’s a difference between physio and sports physio. Here it is in 20 seconds 👇

🔹 Physio gets you out of pain and back to everyday life.
Sports physio gets you back to performance. And ideally stronger than you were before the injury.

🔹 Physio builds a plan around your symptoms and manages the recovery.
Sports physio treats your rehab like a training programme. Building capacity and fitness alongside the injury, not after it.

🔹 Physio works across the whole body. Cardiovascular, neurological, endocrine, respiratory. Treating the full system.
Sports physio goes deep into musculoskeletal. Biomechanics, arthrokinematics, sport-specific movement. That’s where the focus lives.

Neither is better. They’re different tools for different goals. The question is which one do you actually need right now?

If you’re dealing with an injury and not sure where to start, DM me “PLAN” or book directly through the link in bio 📲
