Ancestor reverence

Journeying with ancestors is a very personal experience.

When exploring these ancient sites it is clear to me that the people of our ancient past held a deep connection with the earth and the cosmos. Their monoliths are the remaining physical expression of that connection. Laying in perfect alignment with the key energetic lines in the earth and positioned to mirror celestial bodies in our sky.

I love that there is so much mystery surrounding these places, so many questions unanswered. I loved debating with my dad (a stone mason) about how they were built, him firmly holding the belief that ropes and ramps erected the stones and even antler picks were used to hand dig the vast ditches encircling these sites. I’m not buying it! I truly believe that our ancient ancestors harnessed technology that we do not have today. Why do we think we are more evolved than they were? Because we have our science? It feels to me that we have not risen, but fallen. Fallen away from the ancient knowledge that we are deeply connected to the earth, the stars and beyond. The earths body is our own and we must revere and respect her beauty and abundance. We must restore and maintain the balance and natural order. And that is what our ancestors knew in their bones, bones buried in the ground that we walk upon.

Gathering wisdom from our ancient people is simple. You need only to ask. Call upon the illuminated ones, the healers, witches, wise ones, wild ones. The infinitely abundant ones. The ones who mastered the human experience. Ask them for their love, guidance and wisdom and you will quickly learn that you have an army at your back. Loving and assisting you in all areas of your life. Because they want you to succeed.

A water blessing includes:

~ Guided grounding meditation. To centre into the space, creating a safe container for healing to happen.

~ Setting intentions, although there is no pressure to think of anything specific here, it can simply be the intention to open up in order to receive what is needed.

~ Calling in the element and spirit of water with an invocation. Connecting physically to this powerful healing element.

~ The water blessing will take place, inviting you to receive healing, guidance and wisdom as we work through the areas of your physical and energetic bodies, clearing, cleansing and purifying your energy.

~ Connecting to the spirit of water through shamanic journeying. Offering a deeper connection to the body and mind, cleansing away any negative thoughts, emotions and energy.

Why water?
Water has the ability to purify and cleanse the body and spirit by absorbing negative energy and inviting the flow of positive energy. A symbol of emotional and spiritual renewal, water supports the release of blocked emotions and traumas.

It is through a water blessing ritual where we may achieve higher states of consciousness, activate a deeper connection to the divine and delve into the subconscious mind to gain more clarity and insight.

The medicine of pine.

I recently took part in a plant dieta as part of my medicine woman training with the wonderful Felicity along with other sisters on this course.

A plant dieta takes you on a deep and at times, intense journey. It can be confronting and uncomfortable and that’s certainly my experience of it.

My chosen medicine was pine. The silent sentinel that brings purification, cleansing, protection, clarity, immense wisdom, foresight and resilience.

Im still in the integration phase however wanted to share a little wisdom/ gentle reminders that have been bestowed upon me during this experience:
⚡️Clear the “to do” list from your mind, write it down and let it go. Make space for creativity and inspiration.
⚡️Return to the self. The journey within is encoded with information for healing.
⚡️Spend time in the fertile void. Channel the mastery deep within your shadow.

Offerings for nature.

I harvested mugwort recently to use in infused oils and smoke wands. It grows prolifically in my local area which I’m so very glad about.

When I harvest I like to give back to the plant spirit in gratitude. Offering some fruit, flowers or a little cacao to give thanks for the medicine.
