Weβre aware there is currently some uncertainty across the sector following the recent Resuscitation Council (UK) updates.
There will be changes in our guidance, however FAIB is currently in direct discussion with Resuscitation Council (UK) and we are hoping to have a meeting with them shortly to help clarify aspects of the new guidance before issuing a definitive list of changes that will be implemented into First Aid training.
At present, FAIB is advising members to continue teaching in line with the 2021 guidelines. We recognise that the current situation is causing some confusion, particularly as different awarding organisations are taking different approaches and rushing into implementing the 2025 guidelines.
Our priority is to ensure that any changes we release are accurate, consistent, and clearly understood, rather than rushing updates that may later require correction. As soon as we have the clarity we need, we will publish a clear and definitive list of changes for FAIB members as quickly as possible.
Also, we are currently aiming to have our books and supporting paperwork updated around March.
Thank you for your patience, weβll keep members fully informed as soon as weβre able.
