💛 Feeling energised and genuinely hopeful after our meeting today with Ed Davey and Tom Morrison MP. My youngest daughter and I had the privilege of speaking with two people who don’t just talk about SEND — they truly understand it. The challenges, the heartbreak, the daily battles, and the incredible strength of families who live this journey every single day.
We spoke openly and honestly about the upcoming Government SEND Reforms, and everyone in the room stressed how vital it is that early intervention is prioritised — but never at the cost of a diagnosis or specialist support when a child needs it. Families should never have to choose between support and understanding. They deserve both. They deserve better.
What moved me most was how refreshing it was to speak with someone who genuinely gets the fight — not from policy papers or briefings, but through lived experience as a parent who has walked this road. Someone willing to stand up, speak out, and push for what is right for children and young people with SEND and their families.
Their passion, empathy, and determination give me real hope that these reforms can — and must — be shaped with compassion, honesty, and a fierce commitment to getting it right for all.
Our children deserve nothing less. 💛✨
