🌟🍿 A Trip to the Cinema! 🍿🌟

Last week, some of our residents enjoyed a fantastic outing to our local cinema to watch the classic musical “Singing in the Rain”. 🎬☔

Thanks to a wonderful suggestion from one of our relatives, we discovered the cinema’s dementia-friendly screenings. Working in partnership with relatives, visitors, and local businesses, we’re always looking for ways to offer meaningful and accessible activities for everyone.

We’re already looking forward to our next cinema trip, where we’ll be watching “Summer Holiday”. 🎶☀️

🌟 Weekly Roundup 🌟

It’s been a lovely week here at Cheadle Grange, full of meaningful activities and special moments enjoyed by all. 💙

We were pleased to welcome Stockport Home Library Service, who visited us as part of our ongoing partnership. They brought along a wonderful selection of books as well as dementia-friendly activities, helping our residents to support their coordination and cognitive skills in a fun and engaging way. 📚✨

We also had a fantastic time celebrating St George’s Day with a delightful afternoon tea. Residents, visitors, and staff all came together to enjoy the celebration, which included not only delicious treats but also a themed quiz, crosswords, and a cheerful sing-along! 🍰☕

A huge congratulations to Kaylee, one of our fantastic Care Assistants here at Cheadle Grange Care Home! Kaylee has received multiple compliments from both relatives and staff, all praising her kindness and positive attitude. She truly embraces our values of person-centred care and shows every day that Kindness is Key. 🌟

This well-deserved award was presented by our Supporting Manager, Andrew, who said: “It’s lovely being able to show recognition to our staff here. Kaylee always has a positive attitude and a smile – thank you for all that you do.”

We are so grateful for the continuing support from both family and friends of our residents here at Cheadle Grange. Over the weekend, one of our family members kindly donated a variety of jigsaws. We know these will be very well received and enjoyed by our residents. 🧩✨

Jigsaws are not only fun, but also offer fantastic cognitive, emotional and physical benefits, helping to support memory, problem solving, relaxation and fine motor skills. 🧠

A big thank you for your kindness and generosity. It really does make a difference. 🥰

It’s been a lovely and busy time here at Cheadle Grange Care Home!

We’ve been doing our bit for the community. A lovely lady came to collect our foodbank donations. Small acts of kindness that truly make a big difference. ❤

A special thank you goes to our lovely resident Alma, who helped create our welcome sign. Her personal touch has made such a difference in making Cheadle Grange feel even more like home. 🎨

With spring in the air, we’re also getting ready for Easter with our decorations, plenty of smiles, and looking forward to lots of chocolate along the way! 🍫🐣
