Coming back to Wales, somehow realigns me. It gives me space to settle, to contemplate and reflect. To ground into the earth for strength and comfort and find the right sense of connection back to myself.
The land is magic, its secrets shared through the whispers of air along the coastal paths. The grains of sand under your feet whilst exploring the many beaches for the silence they offer your mind.
The beaches have heard many of my own secrets, whispered lightly into the breeze. And the waves of the sea have gracefully taking my roars of pain away without questions.
Exploring another corner of the Lleyn today, has given me the opportunity to gather my energy once again. To walk in silence alongside my husband. Each of us lost in our own worlds yet connected, aimlessly finding paths to walk, rocks to climb and views to breathe in.
Being Welsh is a gift that I have been given. One I will hold for a lifetime, keeping the language in my heart and my lips.
