Watch out for sleepy cue? - my son don’t have any.
Do a calming bedtime routine that will help! - Nope still bouncing off the walls.
Sometimes these small humans just don’t have a calm gear and that’s ok.
Best tool to tackle this???
ENSURE THEY ARE TIRED ENOUGH!
Fill that sleep tank up to the max.

Firstly, waking is biologically normal for ALL of us.
Interestingly the first 3.5 to 4 hours of the night, is the only time we experience DEEP sleep. After that it becomes lighter and a lot easier to disturb.
If the balance of sleep drive isn’t right from too much day sleep or too early bedtime, then this second half of the night can be a right mess.
If our babies are dependent on us for getting to sleep, then again this will cause issues after this initial block. They will need this association again and again!
There’s a lot going on, and a lot can be changed easily.
Some children can take a little longer than others, but you’re not doing anything wrong.
Sometimes we just need to make some adjustments to get some sleep.

I am not going to give you medical advice, as I’m not trained in that.
I never got on with breastfeeding so I’m not a lactation expert.
I love food but nutrition is not my bag.
What I do know is sleep and the research behind it.
I do what it says on the tin. No more and no less.
Never claim to be anything I’m not but blood love helping parents find a good nights sleep again.

Sleepy cues, hunger cues or are they just bored and they want to look at something else? Who knows???
This parenting lark is hard enough, but trying to work out what your baby needs/ wants can be so hard.
As a first time Mum, I was always sleep first as he was such a bad sleeper. I would then pop him down and he would lose it!
Hope this helps a little and you know where I am if you need me.

And the news is out. The has carried out an investigation into the Wild West industry of baby and child sleep.
It’s easy to see a coaches followers that looks impressive, but the reality is that many of these are bought.
However, the main concern is what is being pumped out to vulnerable parents.
Avoid any form of sleep training around newborns, especially forcing them into routine, cutting feeds and NEVER put them down on their tummy!
Always follow the if you have any safety concerns.
Just to confirm this article is not about sleep training being dangerous it’s about the charlatans that care more about your money than they do about your child’s safety.

A danger nap is dangerous as it’s releases sleep pressure right before bedtime/ nap.
The only way to combat this is to wake them as soon as you can and accept that the next sleep session will be later to build that pressure back up.
If you don’t do this then hello to bedtime protests, split nights and a rather rubbish time.
Bravo to this family who didn’t panic and altered bedtime accordingly. BOOM!
