Running a business as an introvert is tricky.
I went to a lovely networking event today with the lovely ladies at Something I always get super nervous and socially awkward about, but nevertheless, I try to push myself out of my comfort zone every now and again. It wasn't a massive group, which made me feel at ease, and I didn't get overwhelmed like I have done at other networking events in the past.
I'm not the bubbly person in the room, or the one that will go around introducing myself, or a salesperson of any kind. But that's ok.
I'm the person who quietly sits in the corner and listens and takes everything in. Not everybody wants a lively person who will talk your ear off, but as an introvert, those people make it so much easier for me to just quietly be me.
To be a homeopath, you need to be a good listener & observer, and you need to be non-judgemental, and that's what I am best at. I bring a different kind of energy - a quieter, deeper kind.
I listen and speak with intention.
I'm thoughtful, not impulsive, which comes in handy when choosing remedies and working on a case.
I know when to pause, reflect, and re-charge, and I consistently show up as my true, authentic self, even when I feel that people might not get me.
I bring a calmness to the room, which can help to put people at ease, but I will never be called the bubbly, friendly one that can talk to anyone. But that doesn't matter because I have different, less obvious qualities that make me the right person for my clients who resonate with me.
And I think the card was spot on! I am definitely a control freak! 🙈😂
