I was part of a different type of therapy session this morning with a wonderful client, inside the green house at the school I also go into to meet with clients.

There was something beautiful in exploring the feelings of grief, whilst planting a memory heart and seeds that will flower in the spring.

It is a quiet reminder that even in loss, something can still be held, honoured, and gently carried forward. That grief can sit alongside growth and with time, patience, and nurturing, something new can quietly emerge.

To share that moment in such a peaceful and natural space felt very meaningful. 🤍

My page is now on Instagram ✨

Many clients have recently asked if I use Instagram, so I’ve finally opened my page up on there.

Follow, like and share, so the page can reach more people who can then access more support!

I am going to try and be a little more active on social media and share more things. I think my website will be the next thing to come - life just keeps me busy!

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy any sunshine that pops out! 🤍

Some days just feel a little heavier than others and sometimes our mind is asking for a break.

Maybe you’re more tired, a bit overwhelmed, or not quite yourself? Maybe things you used to enjoy don’t feel the same?

Maybe it’s time to slow down, breathe, and take care of YOU. You don’t have to have it all together all of the time.

Be gentle with yourself, these can be quiet signs that your mind needs a little extra care. 🤍

Mother’s Day can bring up many different emotions and feelings.

For some it’s joyful, but but for others it can bring grief, difficult memories, infertility struggles or complicated relationships.

If today feels heavy, please know that your feelings are valid and there is no “right” way to experience Mother’s Day.

Be gentle with yourself today and take the space if you need it. Reach out if you’re struggling and know you are not alone.

My thoughts are with you. 🤍

I’ve spent a few hours in the garden this afternoon, jet washing and just pottering about getting it ready for the Spring / Summer.

As many of you will know, I have waited the whole of the longgggggest winter for this and I feel so much better getting outside and having a bit of my own self care time. It really helps to reduce my stress levels and gives me space to think.

Fresh air, a bit of sunshine, and time with nature can do wonders for your mental health. It helps slow the mind, lift your mood, and remind you to breathe.

Never underestimate how healing, a little time outside can be. Sometimes the simplest things like being in nature, that can make the biggest difference especially to your mental health. 🤍

Sometimes disappointment doesn’t come from what happened, it comes from what we expected to happen.

Disappointment = Expectation Ă· Reality

When our expectations and values are very high and reality doesn’t match them, the gap can leave us feeling hurt, frustrated, or let down. This can show up in relationships, work, friendships, family or even the expectations we place on ourselves.

Learning to balance hope with realistic expectations can help protect our emotional wellbeing. The goal is to build healthy, realistic expectations and practice self-compassion when things don’t go the way we imagined.

Sometimes peace comes from adjusting expectations, accepting reality, and focusing on what we can learn and grow from the experience.

If you’re struggling with disappointment or unmet expectations, you’re not alone. Support and understanding can make a big difference. 🤍

Happy International Women’s Day!

This International Women’s Day is a reminder that support, empathy, and understanding can make a powerful difference in someone’s life.

Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer another woman is simply to listen, validate her feelings, and remind her that she is not alone.

When we uplift each other we create strength, confidence, and space for every woman to grow and thrive. 🤍

Some days feel heavier than others and that’s part of being human.

If you’re struggling right now, remember that your nervous system may simply be tired. Gentle routines, rest, and small moments of care can help your mind and body feel safe again.

You don’t have to push through everything, because actually emotional dips are normal. Healing takes time, so be kind to yourself today and have that self compassion. 🤍

When everything feels overwhelming, it’s usually because we’re staring at the entire staircase instead of the step right in front of us.

You don’t have to climb the whole staircase today, you just have to take the next step. Overwhelm thrives on “all of it”, but your nervous system settles with “just this.”

So if today feels heavy..
Don’t plan the whole week - send the one email. Don’t solve the whole relationship - have the one conversation.
Don’t fix your whole life - make the one appointment.
Don’t clean the whole house - clean one corner.

One step is enough for today and have the self compassion with that. 🤍

Received some new feedback today from a new client which is incredibly humbling.

Creating a safe, welcoming space from the very first session is something I care deeply about, and building connection and safety in the counselling space is always my priority.

I am just extremely grateful to be trusted with someone’s story, and to be able to walk alongside them through out their counselling journey. 🤍

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in your head?

Try box breathing - a gentle, grounding breathing technique you can use anytime, anywhere.

How it works:

- Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds
- Hold the breath for 4 seconds
- Breathe out slowly through your mouth for 4 seconds
- Hold again for 4 seconds
- Repeat this cycle 4–6 times.

Box breathing tells your nervous system that you’re safe. It can reduce anxiety, slow racing thoughts, and bring your body out of “fight or flight” and back into balance. 🤍
