Steve and Megan were up on the Balconies and in the Garden this week having a spy on the local community through his binoculars! 👀

Steve was a Coach driver, and is a very well travelled man! He has a love for sight seeing and navigating - so it was great to see him making sense of his surroundings, and sharing his facts all about the local area in this way! 🗺️🧭

Thanks for a great afternoon of reminiscing and soaking up the sun, Steve! 💭🌞

Window Painting Series #4 🪟
Elizabeth’s Window!

One of our amazing Activity Coordinators, Nicky, has been doing ‘Window Painting’ one to ones with each of our residents in their bedrooms over the last few weeks! 🥹

We want to share some of these amazing artworks, and the amazing stories behind them, with all of you! 💭

This beautiful collection of pets belong to Elizabeth. Elizabeth has an African Grey Parrot, called Nelson, and had 2 beautiful Golden Retrievers, called Emma and Zara, that she frequently entered in competitions! 🥇

Amongst her own pets, are a collection of Birds that Elizabeth loves feeding on the patio everyday! 🐦‍⬛

Elizabeth simply has no more room on her window! 🤭 Thank you Nicky for all your time and effort creating this masterpiece! ♥️

Some lovely pictures from Megan and Pauline’s one to one session last week! ✨

Pauline loves puzzles - she is the queen of them! So when we had this beautiful new 100 piece puzzle donated, we knew Pauline would be the perfect person to assemble it! 🧩👑

Pauline and Megan sat together in the dining room and completed this ocean-themed puzzle in a fantastic time of 21 minutes! 🐬

Well done Pauline, it looks amazing! 👏🏻

We have an artist in our midst at Springfield Manor! ✏️

Margaret is a true talent when it comes to drawing - particularly wild animals! She has sketched Giraffes, Crocodiles, Rhinos and one of her favourites, a Zebra!🦒🐊

In her one-to-one with Megan yesterday, she expressed that she wanted to get back into drawing, so they decided she should try to recreate her own drawing of a Zebra! 🦓

Her efforts are truly incredible, and it was amazing seeing her Zebra take shape with every mark made on the paper. We can’t wait to see this finished product come to life in full! 🥹

In Art Club, our Artist of the month for April was Pablo Picasso! 👨🏻‍🎨🇪🇸

Our residents were tasked with creating portraits using geometric shapes and bright colours! Some chose to create a likeness to themselves or to staff, and others made up characters and faces of their own! 🤓🟠🟨

You all have very wide imaginations and a good eye for details! Well done to everyone who gave this Art Club session a go! ✨

Our Rudyard Community have been making their own Charcuterie snacks this afternoon!🍴✨

We love Mondays when our Hairdresser, Jo, sets up shop in our Salon! 💇🏼‍♀️

Jo has been with us since we first opened in 2024, and has formed the most fantastic friendships with our residents! 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

Jo not only makes our residents look good, but she makes them feel good! Our residents know that their hair appointment will be a gossip, karaoke and reminiscing session all in one - Jo really is a jack of all trades! 💬🎵

Thank you Jo for being so fabulous, putting smiles on our residents’ faces, and for making our Monday’s that little bit brighter! 🌟💫✨

Some pictures of Mavis’ one-to-one session with Head Chef, Sarah, this week! 👩🏼‍🍳✨

Mavis loves baking, and received a beautiful Shortbread gift set from her daughter for Easter! 🐇

With Sarah’s help, Mavis mixed her ingredients, cut her biscuits, took them to bake upstairs in our Kitchen, and hand-decorated them! 🍪

They looked absolutely delicious - well done, Mavis and Sarah! 🥹👏🏻
