Thank you so much to the wonderful folks who joined me yesterday for our Autumn immunity workshop. 🍂🧡🍂

Thankful for all your wisdom shared. Such insights and collective knowledge in the room.

I learned so much and this is one of the things I love most about collecting like minded souls together so that we can learn not just from the plants but also from one another 🙏🏻

We learned about our powerful immunity herbs, food as our medicine and the importance of rest, retreat and ritual for sustaining health and recovery.

We packed lots in to our day making tinctures, glycerites, a throat defence spray, fire cider vinegar and infused oils to make a protective bug fighting balm. A kit to keep us protected through Winter ails.

We welcomed the shift in daylight hours and cooling temperatures, explored the herb plot and celebrated the seasonal change with fireside chai in the orchard before warming up with a delicious lunch.

Looking forward to hearing how your immune boosting herbs help you this season, and looking forward to the next workshop on Saturday 13th December - only 3 spaces remaining!

Excited to be preparing for our Autumn immune boosting workshop this Saturday! 🍂🍁🍂

There are just 2 places left if you would like to join us to learn about our herbal allies at this time of year, how to use them to make protective herbal remedies to take home with full notes provided to support your home herbal learning.

Our workshops also allow time for self care and connection to the changing seasons. We will be making warming fireside drinks, giving thanks for the harvest, and enjoying a delicious home made lunch packed with immune boosting phytochemicals, before turning inwards and reflecting on the importance of rest, ritual, and retreat at this time of year.

Back to school! 🌿

Looking forward to beginning the new academic year @ Betonica School of Herbal Medicine teaching clinical skills to Years 3 & 4, alongside Dedj Leibbrandt 💚

We begin tomorrow with respiratory examination skills for Year 3, a whole day in person teaching, learning and practising together.

These skills are a key part of our professional training, elevating our diagnostic abilities, and the holistic guidance we provide alongside bespoke herbal treatment 🌿

This time last year I was honoured to be awarded the Catherine Johnson Memorial Trophy for clinical excellence by Betonica School of Herbal Medicine 🌿💚🏆💚🌿

The award recognises the qualities that Catherine brought to herbal medicine to support, empower and enrich the lives of others through herbal medicine and compassion, often in the most challenging of times including the Calais refugee camps.

Throughout the clinical skills teaching at Betonica last year, we lit a candle in the cup to welcome in Catherine’s compassion, and all the herbal wisdom that has gone before us.

This year at Betonica’s beautiful graduation on Saturday the cup will be awarded once again. I’m very excited for the well deserving recipient and for all the Betonica graduates as they move forward and make their own herbal medicine history 🌿💚👏🏻💚🌿

🌿Thank you so much to all the lovely people who joined us at Springwater Organic Farm on the National Trust Killerton Estate for our herb walk today. It was wonderful to meet you all and share some herbal stories and tips on how to safely use your own natural medicines 🌿💚

Thank you especially to Amelia and Jason for inviting me and for all your hard work in caring for the land and sharing its importance with likeminded folk - so many wonderful events here to educate and inspire 🌿💚

The weather was quite kind 🌦️
We explored the natural medicines growing in the orchard and the footpaths leading to the chapel whilst tasting different herbs and a mystery tea or two along the way 🌿💚

🌿Come and learn the medicinal properties of the plants growing at Springwater Organic Farm on the National Trust Killerton Estate.

🌿As a medical herbalist I am passionate about empowering our communities to safely use the plant remedies around us and revive these forgotten skills.

🌿Join me for a walk through the Springwater Farm orchard, along the hedgerows to the beautiful chapel whilst learning how our native plants are allies for good health.

🌿I will be sharing some stories from folklore and highlights from modern science to teach you how to safely gather and prepare seasonal native medicines.
