Meet Sam!
Sam trained with Yogahaven in Greece to become a Yoga Alliance teacher back in 2014. She now has 8000+ hours worth of teaching experience, both internationally on private super-yachts as well as UK retreats and cities. She feels great wellbeing comes from balancing the Yang with the Yin in life.
Coming from a professional dance background for many years, with a degree in Contemporary and Ballet, Sam combines her disciplines to offer a unique class that’s packed with creative sequencing of postures. These sequences are designed to build strength, flexibility and mobility throughout the body! She also layers these movements with breathing exercises and guided meditation to help bring harmony to mind, body and spirit. Her aim is to always make classes fun, accessible and safe for students of all abilities.
Sam is trained in Advanced First Aid and has extensive knowledge of injury prevention and rehabilitation. She always incorporates this into her classes by teaching attention to detail in anatomical alignment, with a focus on smooth efficient transitions between poses.
For the past 10 years of Sam’s career she has taken a strong interest in how to combat stress and anxiety in this busy modern world. She has a passion for helping people improve their sleep, mental health, and physiological systems in the body.
To deepen her understanding of all things health and wellbeing Sam has completed specialist trainings with some of the top practitioners in the world, including: Restorative Yoga with sleep scientist Roger Cole, Yin Yoga with meditation expert Norman Blaire, Traditional Thai Yoga Massage with Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai, and Vinyasa Hot Yoga with The Life Centre in Manchester.
In 2023 Sam became a mother, so to align with this new chapter of her life she completed training to become an Infant Massage Instructor with IAIM in London.
She also trained in Early Years & Baby Yoga with Beam Academy in London.
Sam founded her business Little Yoga Massage in 2023, offering courses in Baby Massage and Parent and Baby Yoga.
You can find her Baby Yoga classes here at Sattvic Studio on Wednesdays during term time at 11.15-12.15! This includes a hot drink and friendly social at the end.
Our next Parent + Baby Yoga class starts soon….
