Loving husband of Elizabeth (Betty) adored father of David, Andrew and Michael loved father-in-law and cherished yampa, grandpa and papa and a good friend to many.

A service of thanksgiving will take place at St John’s Church Barlaston on Friday 15th May at 12noon, family and friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church.

Loving wife of the late Roy, devoted mother of Elizabeth, Glyn and Nicholas, loving Grandma and great Grandma, sister, mother-in-law, and a great friend to many that knew her.

A funeral service will take place at Stafford Crematorium on Thursday 21st May 2026 at 2:30pm. Family and friends wishing to attend are kindly asked to meet at the crematorium.

Passed away peacefully on Saturday 28th March 2026, George, aged 92 years, of Stone. Devoted husband of the late Brenda. Much loved father of Michael, Ian and Karen. Treasured Grandfather of Gregory, Elliot, Alyssia, Alexander, Jake and the late Olivia. A special Great-Grandfather to Harriet, Elizabeth and Freya. A cherished friend to many.

A funeral service will take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Thursday 30th April at 2.40 pm. Family and friends wishing to attend, kindly meet at the crematorium.

Introducing: Nigel Scholes, our dedicated Funeral Assistant.

Nigel joined the company in 2015, encouraged by Mark Boulton, and has been a valued member of the team ever since. Prior to this, he spent 30 years of his career with Lloyds Banking Group, working in a variety of roles across both personal and business banking.

A resident of Stone for over 19 years, Nigel has a strong connection to the local community and understands the important role Price & Stubbs Funeral Directors play in supporting families.

Nigel says that joining the company was one of the best decisions he has ever made, as he finds great meaning in helping people through the difficult process of bereavement.

Peacefully on Friday 20th March at his home, David aged 79 years of Stone.

Devoted husband of Patricia, Loving dad of Ian, adored grandfather of Millie, Maggie and Sam.


David worked at Rugeley Power Station for many years but was known locally as a dedicated retained firefighter based at Stone Fire station from September 1970 to March 2002 devoting his service to the local community, also a great friend to many.

Family flowers only please, donations can be given in memory to Katharine House Hospice care of the family.

Barry brings over 45 years of experience in the funeral profession, demonstrating a lifetime of dedication and care to the families he serves. He formally qualified as a Funeral Director in March 1999, achieving the N.A.F.D. Diploma in Funeral Directing.

Barry is a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors, awarded his B.I.F.D. Licence to Practise—further recognising his professionalism and commitment to the highest standards within the industry.

Barry describes his role as a Funeral Director as the most rewarding career anyone could wish for. Being able to support families through times of loss and sadness is something he finds deeply meaningful and fulfilling.
