On the Isle of Lewis there is a Norse Mill and Kiln set beautifully by a stream with the atlantic ocean just beyond. It reminds me, not just about history but about wellbeing.

The mill grinds. The kiln fires.
Together, they transform.

It made me think about how life works in much the same way, the slow pressures, the hard moments, the times that feel like they’re wearing us down and then the quiet rebuilding, the strengthening, the becoming.

Maybe we’re all just passing through our own mill and kiln. Becoming something stronger, steadier, and more whole.

I love the kind of places that remind me how small my problems really are. They are all over the Isle of Lewis and Isle of Harris.

Not everything needs to be solved all at once. Sometimes you just need a moment to breathe, zoom out, and remember there’s a bigger world beyond whatever’s weighing on you.
