What a fantastic week! 2 NPLQ courses run at 2 different school pools in Wolverhampton and Stourbridge. 8 passed yesterday thanks to Nick and another 5 today thanks to Haydn! That's 100% passes for us :)

Special mention to Haydn (pictured) as this was also his first course as a probationary trainer which means he has just successfully passed the first stage to becoming fully qualified. His candidates were an absolute credit to him.

Next we have more NPLQ's starting in Coventry on Monday and Tamworth on the 18th August.

NPLQ season is in full swing!

According to statistical data from Swim England (Governing body for the sport) a child shouldn’t stop lessons until they have achieved the MINIMUM standard of 100m & experienced swimming in clothes

✅Is your child competent at the following ?

No other activity that as parents we pay for is going to potentially save our child’s life, 🥲It’s never too late to improve your child’s ability at swimming .. 🏊‍♀️🏊

Love this post from the RLSS! Lifeguarding isn't just for teenagers. I've had plenty of discussions recently about trying to bring in more mature staff, especially those taking early retirement from careers such as the fire service or military.

Also took an enquiry just this week from a more mature candidate keen to do our next NPLQ course.

Almost the end of the half term, two NPLQ courses finished and one more finishing tomorrow! Forgot to get a photo yesterday but here is today's lovely bunch. Thanks to Annette for all her hard work with this group in Coventry and Charlotte for her group at Tamworth Snowdome. Just Kain to finish in Wolverhampton tomorrow!

We've met some great young people this week. Let's hope they do us proud in their new jobs ❤️

A group of women from ethnic minority groups in one of the most deprived areas of Coventry have trained as lifeguards to inspire local women and girls to swim.

We always promote Andy's Man Club when running our First Aid for Mental Health courses.

The sad reality is that 75% of su***des are men. Make time to talk fellas and break that stereotype!

Just sharing details of our next 3 public lifeguard courses. Did you know that as a newly classified level 3 qualification, these now hold 8 UCAS points?? So not only can you get a qualification to get a job as a lifeguard, you can also get UCAS points to help with your uni applications!
