If you only do some extra steps, pop into the gym and walk on a treadmill for ten minutes 🚶🏻, or even just walk to the shop instead of driving, that's better than nothing! 👌

I’m opening up 5 free personal training places for people over 45 💪

This isn’t a promo.
There’s no upsell, no catch, and no pressure to continue after.
It’s 12 weeks because that’s long enough to actually change something.

I’m doing this because I genuinely hate the thought of good people looking in the mirror and thinking “I’m sh*t” 😔
Because you’re not.

Most people don’t need motivation.
They need clarity, reassurance, and someone in their corner who actually gives a damn 👊

If you’re over 45 and you’ve gained weight, lost confidence, or feel nervous even walking into a gym, this is for you.
If you don’t know where to start and you’ve convinced yourself it’s “too late”… it isn’t.

I started late myself.
I hated gyms.
I know exactly how intimidating and overwhelming it can feel.

You’ll get simple training, realistic food advice, sensible cardio and guidance on what to do outside the gym so this fits into real life 🍽️🚶‍♂️
No diets. No punishment. No bu****it.

This is not for everyone.
You do have to show up.
You do have to try.

It took me 12 weeks at 47 years of age to go from being depressed, hating the way I looked and feeling like sh!!..💩 I'm not some Instagram fairy telling you that you need to eat broccoli 🥦and run 12 miles a day to change. Hard to believe in 3 years I’ve gone from 22 stone to 17.5 stone then built muscle up to make me weigh 18.9 stone.. Three years and getting stronger and healthier all the time.. even at 50!! yes, I slip up and “accidentally” have the odd kebab, but it’s not a habit and that’s the difference! .. don’t make it a new years resolution next year.. make it a new life promise any day you like! I feel SO much happier than I ever did! i think clearer, faster and feel a thousand times better than the old me! ..

Why your weight jumps overnight (and no, it’s not fat)

Ever stepped on the scales and thought, “WHAT THE— I was good all week!” 😩
Relax, it’s not fat… it’s glycogen and water doing their thing.

Here’s the deal 👇
When you eat carbs, your body stores them as glycogen — your personal energy stash.
And for every 1g of glycogen, you hold roughly 3g of water with it. 💧

So when you carb up — the scales jump.
When you train hard or eat fewer carbs — the scales drop.
It’s not magic. It’s fuel in vs. fuel out.

In my bath demo 🛁 the red liquid = glycogen, and the clear water = the hydration that comes with it.
Pull the plug (aka use your energy), and the water drains naturally.
Don’t? Keep topping up the tank, and it eventually spills over into fat storage. 😅

Your weight can swing a few pounds every day — that’s normal.
Stop panicking over the number and start understanding what’s behind it.

👉 It’s water. It’s glycogen. It’s life.
Not failure.

This was me on the left at 22 stone, aged 47 and HATED the thought of all that "healthy eating and gym bo****ks"... It took 12 weeks to get to the me on the right... I'm 50 now and train daily.. You don't have to.. Just sayin.... If you want a PT that's been there, done it and KNOWS how you feel.. I might be your man..

Both of these men are 72. The man on the left has always enjoyed a night-cap every evening, a nice cooked breakfast in the morning and has a takeaway once a week. He likes to watch Eastenders and Coronation Street in the evening with his wife. BUT...

The man on your right, he drinks occasionally at the weekends (maybe two or three and enjoys them), has a cooked breakfast once a week, has a takeaway once a week, loves walking to the shop after breakfast every day and chasing around after his grandkids, he gets 8000 steps in each day. He also finds just THREE hours to get to the gym each week.

Three hours a week out of 168, it's not a lot.. Make time now, save time later. 👍

Thoughts go out to the families and friends of the firefighters that lost their lives, along with a civilian. These men and women that love their job, the people that would selflessly put themselves in danger before others without even thinking about it, the folks that get a days worth of a footballers salary to risk life and limb.
