Hello, I’m ZOE and I’m a nutritionist.
No, not that one!
You been getting those ad’s too?
NGL, been getting on my turnips…
ZOE means ‘life’ in Greek.
My Mum’s name, Eve, means ‘life’ in Hebrew. That’s why I’m called ZOE
I was wished for on a wishbone, so the story goes…
If you’re interested in personalised nutrition, you may want to consider working with a BANT Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, like me. The other ZOE
Less tech. More connect

So it got a bit chilly? Resisting the urge to pop the heating on. We’re on the last crawl until the school holidays. Lots of end of term fun so I’m losing track of what day it is. The chidlers have been doing things on Saturdays which has thrown me a bit. The alarm went off on Monday and I was rather annoyed with Mr G for setting it for half six on a Sunday. The dawning realisation that it was actually Monday morning was brutal 😂
Tuesday has been kind. A lovely catch up with a client. A coffee and natter with my biggest boy who has officially left school! An afternoon looking at fabrics for some kitchen blinds. A couple of client EFT sessions before school pick ups, times 3.
A quick supper of spiced lamb and aubergine with tahini dressing and pomegranate, salad with sprouted herbs and an evening with Nigella on the telly box.
Happiness is ❤️

Whenever people ask me what I do, and I tell them I’m a Nutritional Therapist there’s nearly always a tumble-weed moment and a slight look of panic in their eyes. I’m tempted to reach into my pocket and pull out an awkward moment dispelling glass of wine (Nyetimber please) or a slice of cake (coffee and walnut with ALL the buttercream).

People are genuinely surprised that, yes, I do enjoy the odd glass of wine, slice of cake, chocolate and no, I’m not vegan or vegetarian. Very, very occasionally, I’ve even been known to have a Big Mac…

Because it’s what you do MOST of the time that will have the biggest impact on your health. I look at what can be added in. With more nourishment comes greater satisfaction and more natural balance when it comes to food choices.

My approach is completely client centred. I take time hear their story. Together we take a deep dive to look for the root cause of their symptoms. My advice is tailored to their needs, at their pace.

A cornerstone of my practice is teaching clients how to manage stress and use EFT tapping (it’s like acupuncture but without the needles) to allow the brain and body to release trauma, negative thoughts and emotions which calms the nervous system.

When you learn to connect heart, brain and body you make a space for personal growth and healing. And usually, there’s still room for the odd glass of wine…

Happy New Year!

Are you making any New Year's resolutions?

Apparently, the odds of success in sticking to them are small. Here's the numbers according to various studies:

✍ 70% of New Year's resolutions relate to health, with exercise, healthy eating and weight loss holding the top spots.

✍ 23% of people quit by the end of the first week, 64% after the first month, and 81% before the end of the year.

✍ Only 9% of people successfully keep their New Year resolutions.

So, you're 91% likely to fail?

✍ Interestingly, 43% of people expect to give up their resolutions by February.

What do I think?

💡 Maybe they were never really serious in the first place. Maybe, it seemed too difficult once they got back to their day to day routine. I get it. Change is HARD. Properly DIFFICULT. Life gets in the way.

💡 Having support improves motivation, commitment and willpower.

💡 Having support improves resilience to bounce back after setbacks.

💡 Taking small, manageable, targeted steps improves success.

EVOLUTION over resolution.

🚮 Ditch the crash diets, punishing exercise schedule and extreme health regimes.

🏅 If you're in the mood for success, and would like me to help you get there, I'd love to hear your story and help you with the health challenges you face.

To make it even easier, I am offering a discount on my 3 month package for the whole of January! £495 instead of £695.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas 🎄

THE CHRISTMAS LIFE
Wendy Cope

Bring in a tree, a young Norwegian spruce,
Bring hyacinths that rooted in the cold.
Bring winter jasmine as its buds unfold -
Bring the Christmas life into this house.

Bring red and gold, bring things that shine,
Bring candlesticks and music, food and wine.
Bring in your memories of Christmas past.
Bring in your tears for all that you have lost.

Bring in the shepherd boy, the ox and ass,
Bring in the stillness of an icy night,
Bring in the birth of hope and love and light.
Bring the Christmas life into this house.

I’ve had the rotten lurgy this week so a bit behind, but ho ho ho I’m feeling much better today and although sadly, I wasn’t up to our village Carol Service, I did manage to make ‘get ahead gravy’ so frankly, I feel like I’m winning!! It’s a first for me. Homemade mincemeat has eluded me once again, but I’ll get there one day 🤩

Cheers to you and yours, and those that we will miss 🥂
Eat, drink and be merry ❤️

⭐️ It was the most magical, beautiful morning here. Everything was wonderfully hushed in a cloak of ethereal mist. The cold air pinched my cheeks and it felt delightfully Dickensian.
As I walked, I was thinking about how the cycles of nature can be reflected in our lives. The bare branches remind us that it’s ok to let go. Change and renewal are part of the ebb and flow of life. Although we can’t see any outward signs of change, nature is busy preparing for growth, much like our ‘inner work’. It looks as though nature is sleeping but renewal is happening, hidden away in readiness for Spring. It’s a gradual process. Sometimes it’s difficult to see the wood for the trees. My approach is whole person. When I work with clients, together we discover what healing and nurturing is needed. What changes need to happen? What can be released to make way for renewal, growth and healing? Small, positive changes made consistently makes for big results.
⭐️ Sending love and light into 2022
