š Well done, Dr. Faihaan Ahmed!
Weāre so pleased to celebrate Faihaanās graduation this week with a Masterās in Global Healthcare Management š
Faihaan joined us just 18 months ago as a part-time Caregiver at Queensway Court, one of our extra care services in Leamington Spa.
His passion for care was clear from the start, and it wasnāt long before he stepped into a leadership role at Briar Croft in Stratford-upon-Avon, where he now supports residents overnight as part of our Night Owl team.
He brings calm, kindness, and real commitment to everything he does (and somehow managed to complete a Masterās at the same time!)
Faihaan says heās grateful for the opportunities heās had with Unique, but we know weāre the lucky ones.
š¬ āYouāve made it through your most difficult days and thatās proof of your strength.ā
As part of Samaritans Awareness Day yesterday, Ben, one of our Mental Health Champions, shared this encouraging message about why well-being is a journey, not something to āachieveā all at once.
Every step forward counts. Even asking for help or simply holding onto hope is a form of self-care.

Many families donāt realise there are two types of home care - regulated providers and introductory agencies. One family shared how they discovered this the hard way, when the Caregiver who arrived wasnāt even the person the agency thought theyād sent.

This we are celebrating how working in partnership helps us deliver care that truly meets peopleās needs.
Our client is 103 and had not been out of bed for over 18 months. Together with the client, her family, our Care Team and physiotherapists, we explored new ways to support her comfort and independence.
With gentle support, she was able to sit upright with her feet to the floor for the first time in more than 18 months. A small achievement that brought real joy and helped guide her future care š
This is what co-production means to us. Listening, working together and making the small things count.

š Happy 70th Birthday, Valerie!
We had a lovely time last week celebrating Valerieās 70th birthday. Valerie has been with us for 10 years and has truly made a life out of caring for others.
In this short clip, she talks about what she loves most about being a Caregiver ā helping people stay independent and seeing them smile.
Itās a big team effort and something weāre proud to be part of. This recognition means a lot to everyone involved š
Thank you to those who give their time, offer support, or simply turn up each week for a chat and a cuppa. Weāre over the moon to see it shortlisted.

Unique Senior Care was founded in 2011, by Philip Wright-Howarth and Philip Maundrill. Both have, at some point, been responsible for a loved one in need of care. At Unique Senior Care we therefore have an intimate understanding of what quality care should look like, and the peace of mind this brings to family members, as well as the person being cared for. This has been a key driver throughout the businessā history and continues to underpin all aspects of the work we do.
What makes us Unique?
It is without doubt the people we care for, our staff and the quality of the services we provide. Every member of our team shares the same ethos of putting āPeople, above all elseā. We believe that by supporting older people to remain in their own home, we can enable them to live more fulfilling lives, and our care is always tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. Families will have the peace of mind that their loved ones are in excellent hands. As a result, we have built a reputation as a care company that specialises in one thing: people.
Our care is unique and outstanding
Unique Senior Careās blend of home care is based on providing a service which is the best quality it can be and which meets the needs of both our clients and their families. We are delighted, therefore, that the independent regulator of health and social care in England, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), has rated our service in Coventry South as Outstanding.
