🌟 EXCITING NEWS 🌟 The amazing @fernemccann new season Of 📺 first-time mum, 🧒 starts this Thursday on ITV. And within the first three episodes the amazing person, that Ferne is has shown the world her chiropractic sessions with myself Tune in to see it 👁 💫
Doesn’t Timmy just get the best life ?!? Treats 🍬 cuddles 🤗 hacks 🐎 and adjustments 💆♀️.
So today I turn up to ride Timmy after a few days off, (oh the pain of daylight hours shortening 🌒 and working)
He was rather energetic on the hack but the first thing is spotted was his HEAD WAS TILTED and he couldn’t have it straight 🤔.
Knowing Timmy I know that’s not him. So as soon as I finished the hack he got his chiropractic session and you can see how reactive he is in his neck. 🤕. I had to unclip him as he was throwing his head back. Letting me know it hurt 😣.
Now he will have days off as needed following his session. 🌟.
This is my horse I ride hence I’m not in PPE and am doing it fully alone.
Meet Matilda - a beautiful 4 year old cob! 🐎 The reason for today’s sessions was due to her dropping through her left side when riding and luckily for her, she has the best mum 💫 who wants her to be as comfortable as possible and move the best she can 🌟. Her mum learnt so many signs ⚠️ to look at for, to show her when her 🐎 has misalignments and needs adjusting. This includes ⚠️ walking ⚠️ turning engaging the hind quarters ⚠️ fasiculations ⚠️ motion palpation. YES you read that right 👁. Mum learnt how to feel for joint misalignment. 😮.
As many of you know. I do not have the skills of social media 🤦♀️ therefore I just found these old photos from ages and ages ago. You can tell how much Bailey 🐕 enjoys his sessions.
Surprisingly it’s really helped his eyesight 👁 you can see the cloudiness visibly disappear - which is remarkable and one of the benefits 🌟 chiropractic care has provided without that being the aim.
Excited to be here supporting and accompanying Barbara, on her show today, after Jolly’s first Charlie’s Chiropractic Cares adjustment!
Meet lovely Deano, 👋 He has the most wonderful mummy who just wants the best by him. He has been to Portugal 🇵🇹 for treatment. We are dealing here with a lovely gelding 🐎 who has navicular issues. Which means it’s care that is to keep him going for as long as possible and to keep him as comfortable for as long as possible! Boy has he responded to care 💫 🌟 ⭐️
(Over 2 meters from owner kept throughout)
‘Nemo had a fantastic session with Charlie last night - some of the results instant. Didn’t get any pics of him enjoying as it was dark but he was so relaxed and chilled. Highly recommend. 😀’
Thank you so much for your kind words Nemo was such a pleasure to adjust 💫
Say hello to little Otis! 👋 He came for a general check up for a mild flat head and to ensure he was given the best start to life. Little did his family know, his hip and pelvis was limiting him hitting his milestones. After just one session Otis sat up!!!! 💫 How exceptional is that! 🌟 Hope you’re all having a wonderful week #chiropractic #cranialsacraltherapy #pediatrics #pediatrichiropractic
Look how happy Oscar is.... this little man 🐕 was hit by a car on his yard quite some time ago. He was hurt badly but his mummies did everything they could 🌟 to get him the best he could be 💫. For quite some time we saw him regularly, he used to come running to me, bum first whenever he needed adjusting 😮 💆♂️ HOW CLEVER IS HE?!? It’s absolutely amazing that I haven’t had to see this 🐶 in several months. Look how happy he is to get his adjustment again! 😆. (Over 2 meters was kept from any human)
Meet Kaspa, the 7 year old who sporadically (randomly) started bucking when going into canter 😮
He’s different to the majority of horses I end up seeing because he is hyper mobile 🌟 rather than hypomobile (stiff and restricted) 👨🦳 👩🦳
However just like us humans it’s not the amount of movement we do or do not have. It’s the symmetry. 🔥
When our bodies loose alignment and when they move asymmetrically the nervous system goes into overdrive and we end up in pain 🤕 / with faulty movement patterns 😓 .
For our four legged friends 🐎 🐈 🐕 they have no way to let us know other than by personality changes or movement changes.
Often with horses 🐎 it becomes reluctance to do things, bucking, rearing, biting, spinning, changing pace, struggling to canter, throwing head in transitions.... and many more.
There can be subtle signs like, not standing square, pelvis dropping when walking, saddle slipping, not feeling as comfortable under saddle too ...
Chiropractic never fixes anything, what it does do. Is allow the bodies to move freely, be symmetrical and align the joints to allow the nervous system to do all the healing it needs too! With animals we always need veterinary consent!

*occiput adjustment* this adjustment is one of the most powerful adjustments a chiropractor can perform on human or four legged friend 🐎 🐕 🐈. The occiput is the first joint from the brain 🧠 to the spine 🦴. When this joint is misaligned it reeks havoc on the nervous system and the body! Every time you or your four legged friend is seen by Charlie’s Chiropractic Care this joint is accessed and checked 💪🏼
Meet Marley.... 👋 🐈
Marley is described as ‘grumpy’ and often asleep on his mums bed 🛌 all day. He doesn’t travel to far ✈️ from his home 🏠.
Marley’s owner wondered if he is grumpy because of pain 🤔. Having heard and seen first hand the results CCC gets. They called 📞 me in, to see what may happen with chiropractic care.
Just looking at Marley, you could see tension in the low back, he walked and his pelvis didn’t move and engage plus the left shoulder kept dropping. 🤕
This is a cat who hisses when they pick him up, and yet he allowed me to do what was needed for the adjustments and didn’t hiss plus came back after a short walk following each adjustment. 🌟
Session one we already saw him chew and lick. 👅 For animal lovers you know what this means 🌟 🔥.
Not only that he JUMPED onto a foot stool. His humans where absolutely amazed as they say he will only ever jump onto the 🛌 to sleep. Never anything else like most cats do.
Stay tuned ... this is going to be an interesting case
Cannot believe we didn’t post this beautiful 11 year old Bailey before the lockdown madness.
It is very clear it before Covid-19 struck as there is none of the PPE worn. When we next see him he will be shocked 😮 at the aprons, gloves, mask, but as with every animal 🦒 🦔 🦓 I have seen. They are grateful for the relief and probably accept the PPE better than we do!
Back to Bailey. What a Mumma’s boy he is. 🐕 🌟. I was called in as he was struggling to get up, back legs seems to be the issue and his eye sight 👀 was worsening.
Within the once visit the owners comment on how his eyesight 👀 has improved, the legs will need another session! Which is up and coming; stay tuned
Due to popular demand... Charlie’s Chiropractic Care is pleased to offer 💫 Reiki 💫 for our beloved four legged creatures 🐕 🐎 and for us 💆♀️ too! For any information regarding this exciting service do not hesitate to get in touch 📞
Meet Fynn And how handsome is he?!
This beautiful chap, went to the vets first who took xrays and couldn’t find anything. 😞
He has sporadic (no known cause and at random times) limping. Often as he got up but could happen anytime. The leg pretty much gave way on him.
Between his first and second visit which where weeks apart. He didn’t limp at all! 🌟 however has limped twice since his second.
This frequency is so much less than it was beforehand. 🔥
What we found was he had locked hips, and less movement in his pelvis. The adjustment involved making sure every joint head to toe move evenly and as much as possible.
Woody, has been achieving greatness since chiropractic entered his world 🌍
From a horse that *hadn’t been ridden 🐎 in 18months* due to a serious fall 🤕. Where the rider went over his head, squashing Woody in the process.
He is now being backed again!
Woody used to have his right eye 👁 half shut, one can speculate he had a constant migraine 🤕 with inability to turn his head left and always having it cocked right!
He wouldn’t let anyone touch his head, and spooked 😱 a lot. Strangers couldn’t get close to him too!
Now he wants to be the life of the party 🎉, being close to those around. Letting people *gently* touch his head, and coming up to strangers.
*short video of hitting the SPOT 😆 were muscles where spasming over the spine
Woody had a risen fall over his neck (onto it) in an unfortunate accident 18months ago. No one can go near his head and he hasn’t been ridden since for safety reasons. This horse won’t let anyone touch him and is exceptionally head shy. Not only did he let me adjust him pelvis to head, he stood still for the entire thing (owners said this is rare for him). Horses often know that chiropractic is helpful and good for them. Again and again owners are amazed their horses stand still and don’t lash out during care. Stay tuned to see the progress of this amazing. Shire horses. This horse won’t let anyone touch him, unless he’s bonded with them and is exceptionally head shy. ☺️

Happy saturday! Flashback 💡 to a blooper! You never know what you’re going to get released with animals 😏🐎.
Hope this makes you laugh or smile 😊 this morning!
The reaction after, was because the vet practice refused to allow any complimentary therapists to work on their horses (just that practices policy).
The owner called me around 4 weeks later to say they decided to change practices themselves, so he could get care. So it took around 4 weeks from onset of behavioural issues 😣 and the issues where progressively getting worse.
The first adjustment, this strong 🐎 let us know how sore 🤕 he was 🥊 . It took around 3 adjustments to settle him.
His current vet is so impressed 😃 with the work we have done, he has personally asked us continue along with additional massage 💆♂️ now covid restrictions have allowed this!
(2m was kept from owner at all times, horse was risk assessed and the apron was dangerous so clothes where changed following this one adjustment, ppe used)
Kate Hardt Saddlery Ltd
Putting the horse first!
I would firstly like to thank everyone who has shared this post to raise awareness that this IS a very real issue. I see it daily on my travels and working alongside Clare Ellam, a very well respected equine physio.
As I have explained through the comments - the tree used is to highlight the issue. It clearly does not fit - I have never found a horse that it did!
It is very difficult to clearly show the angles of the bars on a saddle when made up, enough to show the the issue clearly enough for a post, so I used this tree. It is to demonstrate the issue.
This is not to point fingers at any tree brand or saddle makers - as I find I have to adjust numerous brands. It is common place. It pays to store the knowledge that this post gives you in case you start to find lumps or white hairs, or your horse is locked up and short striding etc etc. At the end of the day this post is doing what is was created to do - raise awareness and put the horse first - thank you :-)
This example is of how stirrup bars can dig in horribly and is just ONE reason why I work by putting trees on the horses back to see with my own eyes how they fit.
They must fit the contours of the horses back as closely as possible and without stirrup bars digging in! The tree has to spread the riders weight equally across the horses back without causing pressure points.
Look at the picture.
Now Imagining girthing this saddle up, add stirrup leathers, riders weight, landing from a jump. Now ask why the horse hollows, runs away when landing with head held high or simply will not soften when schooling. It’s a no brainer really.
How may horses have been put to sleep as unrideable as a result of stirrup bars digging in like this?
(Ps this tree is used in modern saddle building by numerous manufacturers).
I just can’t understand why most of the saddlery industry does not see this 😱
The last picture shows a well fitting tree - note - I always have points rounded.
WARNING ⚠️ this will be a long post ⚠️.
Missy’s owner approached me, having known me from working on many horses she knows. 🐎.
She began to explain how Missy for the past 3 months, isn’t herself! 😔.
She was struggling to walk, to move, to sit and had resided to mainly lying on one side or the other! As her elbows wouldn’t lock and slipped it sitting. 🤕
She had been diagnosed and investigated by the vet, showing she had stenosis L7-S1 with disc protrusions and neurological findings at L4-S3 🤕.
Chiropractic never diagnoses and always works along side the vets. 👨⚕️ Working as a non invasive, completely safe, conservative care for improving function and reducing pain. 🙌
Missy’s vet rang new, to discuss Missy. 🇩🇪 He explained how he had worked along side some amazing chiropractors, seen amazing results and wanted conservative care to aid Missy. Full permission was given for me to do this emergency 🚨 appointment.
Like most of our four legged 🐕 🐈 🐎 friends. As soon as I began removing tension off the nervous system ⚡️ by adjusting Missy’s face lit up 🔥. 😃.
You can see how she moves better from the first video. 🎥. However I was not happy, I knew she could do better 🌟. So I did another pelvis adjustment, and you can see her sprint off after.
As her owner is heard saying at the end, before the video 🎥 cut out. ‘she has not moved like this for over 3 months’. 🌟
Personally I am beyond grateful Missy has such an understanding knowledge vet! And that the owner approached me to just ask the question.
In my experience trying something that has no side effects but potentially can help and cause gain never has a downside!
(owner has given full permission for this video 🎥 to be posted. Full ppe was worn, and over 2m was kept at all times from owner and myself)
The Holistic Hutt
The Holistic Hutt would like to introduce you to the lovely Charlie Gregory
Most people ask me why I became a chiropractor? In short, it is because it changed the direction of my life.
just ask. I will happily explain my story.
I have a keen interest in paedatrics and spent over a year working alongside midwives and one of the leading chiropractic paedatric specialists. During this time I was able to witness the true beauty of my profession. I got to see parents who were over the moon that their baby was now sleeping for longer, was breast feeding easier and seemed to be in less pain.
Not to long ago, I rescued a beautiful ex race horse from slaughter, he was only five. My love for animals and my knowledge for chiropractic lead me to study veterinary chiropractic too.
The results from animals, horses, dogs, cats ect.. just further proves to me how incredible this profession is for everyone.
My life is always being enriched by the people & animals that I meet and the interactions I have, which is why I love my job.
Most people ask me why I became a chiropractor? In short, it is because it changed the direction of my life.
If you were to ask further than the answer I would tell you is that I was an extremely active child (county cricket, horse riding, ballet, jazz, cabaret, swimming, gymnastics…). But one day, I got back pain. Back pain which caused me to take high school exams standing whilst everybody else sat around me. Back pain which stopped me from all my sports. Back pain which lead me to a medical back pain specialist who told me I needed a back brace for one year. He told me I would get fat and unfit and would not return to sport for another year. This was unacceptable.
My father a general practitioner (GP), gave me the option to see a chiropractor not knowing if it would or would not help. I choose to try this alternative route, and within a short few weeks I was back to all sports. I was back to being a child.
