Happy 2026. I love New Year! There’s a lot of rhetoric against the whole ‘New Year New You’ thing, which I totally get. It’s not the best time to go hell-for-leather when you’re knackered after Christmas (for most people the festive period is not a rest, especially mothers), it’s mid-winter, dark, cold, and resting is totally valid and wise. However, I personally love harnessing that goal-setting energy this time of year and always find motivation to make some changes around what I’m eating and how I move. I also love to make resolutions, though they’re focused on adding things in, rather than restricting or taking away. This year it’s to make it to the climbing wall at least twice a week, to read more classics (Moby Dick has been on my shelf unread for literally the last 20 years 🐋🥴), to start as many mornings as possible in the garden with a cup of tea, and to keep making progress on that radical self-love ✊🏽 - I’ll keep you posted.
