And that’s a wrap 🎬! It’s been an amazing 10 days down In Birmingham for the commonwealth games! I’ve met so many incredible people and learnt so much about myself as a practitioner and how other people treat from all over the world! I’m hoping we can meet again soon! Once in a lifetime experience!

Shift 3 yesterday. I spent most of my shift monitoring the athletes in the ice-baths (pictures behind me). They are so beneficial in assisting an athletes recovery post training. After that, whilst the athletes were off enjoying the opening ceremony we got to enjoy in house in the clinic and treat any of the remaining athletes that stayed behind to prepare for their events in the morning

Today was an interesting day of CPD training. Today I learnt how to do myofascial cupping and it’s benefit on recovery. I shall now be offering it in clinic to all my patients who are not contraindicated for its use

I’ve busy planning a little something 👀

** So I’ve been keeping a little secret and only a select few people knew about this.

It’s been a lengthy process, but I’m pleased to announce that I’ve accepted a voluntary role as a Sports Massage Therapist at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

This morning was a early start to get to my role specific training and a few weeks time I will be receiving my venue specific training

I’m really looking forward to this great opportunity to meet athletes for all over the world and build working relationships with other professionals bodies and develop myself as a practitioner!

I’m going to try and share my experience as much as I can but please bare with me as it’s a lot to get my head around!

The countdown to the games is one! 74 days to go!

That is me now done for Christmas, I shall be open for a couple days in between Christmas and New Years if anyone needs to see me!

I’d like to wish all my patients a very Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year. This has been a great year for me within the business despite still going through the struggles of a global pandemic and I’m looking forward to what 2022 to has to bring!! I appreciate you all a lot!

Can’t believe it’s been a year since I started my journey at Stroud Sports Clinic! I’m still loving every minute of it and seeing peoples gratitude to what I do to help them is very rewarding! Here’s to the next year! 🎂🍾
