I found this photo of me on the beach from the May Day Bank Holiday a couple of years ago not the sunniest day, a bit breezy, a bit grey… but still such a gorgeous reminder that you don’t need perfect weather to enjoy a moment just for you 💛

☀️ A few of my favourite things about summer…
The smell of freshly cut grass and that very real sense of achievement when you’ve tackled what feels like half of North Dorset with the lawnmower. That’s not just “a bit of activity”… that’s a full‑on workout disguised as gardening.
Washing out on the line, sunshine‑dried clothes and no soggy bits draped around the house.
And my happy place… chilling in the garden with a good book, a cuppa, and the gentle hum of nature.
