Hi everyone 👋

I wanted to introduce myself — I’m a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for people to talk through whatever they’re going through, whether that’s anxiety, low mood, stress, or difficulties within family life.

Sessions are available [online/in-person] in [long melford ], and I’m always happy to have an informal chat if you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you.

It’s okay… 🤍

To make mistakes.
To have bad days.
To feel less than perfect.
To choose what’s best for you.
To simply be yourself.

In a world that often asks us to be more, do more, and push harder — person-centred counselling offers a space where you don’t have to prove anything at all.

Here, you are met with understanding, not judgment.
With compassion, not pressure.
With acceptance, just as you are.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.
You’re allowed to show up exactly as you are today.

You are not stuck.

It might feel like you’re going in circles… ⭕️ revisiting the same thoughts, the same patterns, the same emotions. That can be exhausting. But what if this isn’t you being stuck — what if this is you being in the middle?

The middle of healing is often the hardest place to be. It’s where awareness grows, but clarity isn’t fully there yet. It’s where you start to outgrow old versions of yourself, but haven’t quite stepped into the new one. It can feel uncomfortable, uncertain, even overwhelming.

But growth lives here.

Every time you pause instead of react… every time you question an old belief… every time you choose to show yourself compassion instead of criticism — you are changing. Even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.

You are not going backwards. You are becoming.

Stronger than your past ever imagined.

If you’re in this “in-between” space right now, be gentle with yourself. You don’t have to rush the process. You just have to keep going.

Not everything we carry is visible. 🧳

Many people walk through life appearing strong, capable, and “fine” on the outside, while inside they may be carrying grief, pressure, fear, shame, loneliness, or past trauma.

These invisible burdens can feel heavy and isolating, especially when it seems like everyone else has it together. The truth is, many of us are carrying things that others cannot see.

Counselling can offer a safe, confidential space to gently explore what you’re holding, at your own pace, without judgement. You don’t have to carry it all on your own.

In therapy, the “mountain” might be anxiety.
It might be grief.
It might be setting boundaries, having hard conversations, breaking old patterns, or facing memories you’ve tried to avoid.

No one comes to therapy because life feels easy. They come because something feels heavy, steep, overwhelming.

But here’s the powerful part:
We don’t grow by avoiding the mountain. We grow by climbing it — step by step, at our own pace, with support.

A therapist’s role isn’t to tell you what’s right or wrong, but to listen, understand, and help you make sense of your experiences.
We all need a place where we can be heard and supported. That’s what therapy offers — a safe space for reflection, growth, and healing.
