Charlotte's Wood provides a beautiful setting for a range of outdoor activities for children, parents, schools, holiday makers and anyone who wants to experience the therapeutic benefits of spending more time, being active outdoors. Charlotte is a qualified Forest School leader and trainer who runs Forest School sessions, parent and toddler activities and holiday clubs. For adults, Charlotte runs Forest School leader training and Nordic Walking courses as well as Woodland Well-being sessions and team building days. Come for the day or come stay in one of the luxury lodges on the edge of our private woodland, and discover this hidden gem in the heart of East Anglia.

Join us in the woods this Saturday for ‘Easter in the Woods’🌿

A relaxed, nature-filled morning for children aged 2–8 and their grown-ups, with space to play, explore and enjoy the season together.

We’ll be making Easter crafts, heading off on a woodland scavenger hunt and finishing with an Easter egg hunt, along with time around the campfire.

A lovely way to spend a spring morning outdoors.

Another brilliant day at Wild Wood Holiday Club 🌿

The children got stuck into all sorts of activities – whittling a variety of creations including little pigs, tiny people, a propellor and even a miniature caravan. They pressed flowers to make Easter cards, gathered dead wood for the campfire and enjoyed cooking pancakes, rhubarb jam and ground ivy tea over the fire.

There was plenty of time for den building, swinging in hammocks and on the swings, and we finished the day with a team Easter egg hunt around the woodland.

A wonderful end to two days with such an amazing group of children – and a big thank you to the helpers for all their support.

Looking ahead to our next Wild Wood Holiday Club in May half term – 26th and 27th.

Children got creative dyeing eggs for Easter at Wild Wood Holiday Club today 🌿
Using beetroot for the dye and leaves to create patterns, each egg turned into a beautiful, natural decoration to take home 🥚

We’ll be enjoying more simple, seasonal activities like this at our ‘Easter in the Woods’ session on Saturday – a relaxed morning of woodland play, crafts and an Easter egg hunt.

It was so lovely to welcome both new and familiar faces to the woodland today for our Springtime Little Woodies session 🌿

We began with a gentle woodland walk, spotting the early signs of spring all around us – fresh green leaves, birdsong and blossom on the trees. Back at Basecamp, the children enjoyed free play and creative activities, with some making sweet little bees from alder cones and others creating beautiful flower prints for their spring cards 🌼🌸🌺

As always, we gathered together at the end for snacks and stories around the cosy campfire 🔥 – a calm and comforting way to finish our time in the woods.

If you’d like to join us next time, our ‘Easter in the Woods’ session will be on Saturday 4 April starting at 10.30am 🐣
