Building resilience in children 🌿
Over two cold days in the woods, our Wild Wood Holiday Club children showed what they are truly capable of.
They kept warm by staying active – climbing, den building, team games and getting cosy in our survival shelter. Some tried fire lighting for the first time. Others used bow saws and knives to whittle. New friendships formed and confidence grew by the hour.
And yes… there were pancakes 🔥🥞
So proud of their determination and teamwork.

We’re back in the woods tomorrow for Little Woodies 💛
Our theme is Hearts and Pancakes 🥞 – we’ll be weaving woodland hearts, cooking pancakes on the campfire 🔥 and enjoying all our usual muddy, magical play.

Learn to Nordic Walk 🌿
Following our recent taster, the 3-week Learn to Nordic Walk course starts this Friday 6 February.
We’ll build confidence, technique and enjoyment of Nordic walking in a small, supportive group, with plenty of time outdoors.

Lovely Little Woodies this morning 🌳🐦 🔥
We had a fun Feathered Friends session today, with lots of new faces alongside our regular Little Woodies families.
The children enjoyed:
* looking after a bird toy
* counting nests on our woodland walk
* building their own nests
* playing in the sand and mud kitchen
* making bird feeders
* hot chocolate, snacks and stories around the fire
It was such a pleasure to see everyone exploring, playing and getting to know each other.
Our next Little Woodies session is in three weeks, with the theme Hearts and Pancakes ❤️🥞
I’m really looking forward to it.
