Tonight was all about......
Going back to basics.
After a beautiful meditation we moved onto a mindful colouring activity.
Sometimes the simplest activities bring the greatest calm. Mindful colouring invites us to slow down, focus gently, and reconnect with the present moment.
Calms The Mind
Focusing on colours and patterns helps quiet busy thoughts and gives the mind a break from daily worries.
Encourages Presence
Colouring keeps us in the here and now, paying attention to each stroke, shade and choice of colour.
Reduces Stress and Tension
The repetitive, gentle motion of colouring can soothe the nervous system and bring a sense of relaxation to the body.
Supports Creativity without pressure.
There is no right or wrong way to colour. It allows us to express ourselves freely and playfully.
Creates a Sense of Flow
Many people notice time passing easily while colouring, as they become absorbed in the activity.
Improves Focus and Concentration
Choosing colours, staying within patterns and gently repeating movements can strengthen attention.
Promotes Emotional Balance
Colours often reflect how we feel and can help us explore emotions in a calm and safe way.
Wise words
“Sometimes the secret to peace is simple… let go of the small stuff, hold on to what truly matters, and take time to appreciate the ordinary moments that quietly make life beautiful".
Brings us back to simple joy
Colouring reconnects us with a childlike sense of play, curiosity and creativity.
