Gosh, it's only been 6 weeks but what an incredible 6 weeks of summer holiday fun at Pony Pals Hq!
Verity's riding has gone from strength to strength, and even Oliver has shown some improvement in his falling off technique 🤣
The ponies have had such fun, from mounted games camping weekends, to plenty of fun hacking and playing with friends, and the icing on the cake was Verity racing Presto in a Shetland Pony Race in front of a huge audience, a true Dreams Come True moment.
We have come to the end of the summer and it seems a natural progression has been made from Blue to Presto for Verity, and Oliver has very much established his own friendship and bond with Blue.

After a successful first day at school, all they wanted was a cuddle with their old chum, Mr Kipling.
And then after a recharge it was back in the saddle for some riding with friends, the best after school fun!

The last day of the summer holidays and Verity managed to get a ride on 4 different ponies (one of which is a giant pony!) she even managed to blag a proper riding lesson on the lovely Sophie - the little grey Welsh pony, unfortunately I didn't get any videos of that one. We then rode together and she was eyeing up Shanti so decided to hop on him at the end of our session. Followed by a quick whizz along the meadow on the way back to our yard, and just as I was getting set to finish the chores up, she decided that Blue absolutely needed to have a quick jump too - I think that one was more to calm her nerves about starting her new school tomorrow, either way, Blue was super happy to have a jump and went merrily whizzing along 😂🤣

Verity and Oliver made quite the team and went and won their Equestrian Games competition ( along with all the other pairs in the class as it was a non point scoring competition for the younger riders 🤣 but Oliver was over the moon with his joint 1st place announced that I didn't have the heart to tell him that everyone else also won the 1st place!)
The ponies were incredible, Blue and Oliver totally nailed the stand to canter on the start line, much to mummies amazement at suddenly having to sprint! Presto was a super star, there is such a change in Verity's confidence and her ability, as they whizzed off up their lane completing their tasks with various equipment. Such special ponies, they really are the best boys, a brilliant end to our summer of pony adventures!

Waking up to pony snuggles in pajamas on a slightly dryer morning, it's been a rather soggy mounted games weekend!
The ponies have been going like the clappers, they love these events just as much as the children do, it's incredible to see the difference in their confidence and ability from our first camp back in May. We are looking forward to the final heat of races today, the children are riding in a pair together which is such fun for them and the ponies.

Our Story

Pony Pals is a team of miniature horses and a donkey who make therapy visits to nursing homes / hospices / community centres and hospitals. The ponies are house trained, insured and licensed to work inside and trained to use the lift. They can also be booked to entertain the children at birthday parties. We also have the wonderful little miracle workers that are The Guinea Pig Gang, these little critters make up a group of 8 and have varying colours and coat textures. They are also available for their own therapy visits, they have a transport house on wheels so we are fully mobile, and sit beautifully on little lap trays for the residents to enjoy them. New for 2021 we will have The Chicken Chums joining the therapy visit options. The new recruits are a variety of small chicken breeds and are currently training to also sit quietly on laps to be stroked and chattered too.

We are based in Liphook, Hampshire and travel up to an hour for our visits.

We are currently closed due to the coronavirus outbreak and look forward to visiting again in 2021.
