6 WAYS I SUPPORT MY PHYSICAL, MENTAL and EMOTIONAL HEALTH
1. Walking in nature: have so many benefits for body and mind, walking at a fast pace is a very good cardio for fat burning, leave alone the endless benefits of being close to nature.
2. A strength training workout: I always prioritise it, excellent for increasing bone density and muscle growth, a MUST for perimenopausal and menopausal women.
3. Sunbathing: not only I am a Sun lover, the sun is essential for VD synthesis which is crucial for bone health, immune function, and overall well-being.
4. Practicing Yoga and Pilates: I tend to cross train and a few times a week I incorporate Pilates into my exercise routine. Pilates works mobility, strength, balance, focus and coordination, crucial to maintain and improve brain function.
5. Meditation: one of the best mindful practices to reset the nervous system, invite calmness and stillness into your life, and the best one to fight anxiety.
6. A good dose of beauty: for me personally it’s important to look in the mirror and love what I see. I live on my sports pants almost everyday, and there’s next to none opportunities to get dressed up and put make up on, so, on a self-care day, I always include this too, so I feel amazing inside and outside too.

We have strong bodies, more capable than we think, but sometimes we miss that connection and inner trust, and when something gets uncomfortable, we drop it or run away from it ignoring the call for growth. But the real practice starts when it feels hard, uncomfortable and challenging, but we choose to stay, we choose to bare, we choose struggle, we choose growth. Miracles happen when we step out of the sooo comfortable “comfort zone” equally, in life and on the mat.
