🚑✨ Supporting the Famous Llanelli Carnival – Behind the Scenes! ✨🚑

We were proud to provide a front-line ambulance and medical cover during the set-up and float building for the legendary Llanelli Carnival this week!

And yes… we still somehow managed to feature in the action — well, Carl did. He blended in so well with the floats we nearly assigned him his own spot in the parade. 🤣

Our team was on hand throughout the preparations to keep everyone safe while the amazing floats and displays came together. It’s always an honour to support the hard-working community making events like this possible. ❤️

If you’re organising an event and need dependable medical cover during set-up, build days, or on the big day itself, we’re here to help:
✔ Front-line ambulances
✔ Experienced medical teams
✔ Risk assessments & safety cover
✔ Festivals, build days, sports events, carnivals & more

📞 Get in touch today to secure medical cover for your next event or build project!

Keeping our vehicle safe, reliable, and mission-ready is absolutely essential in our line of work. When we’re called out, we depend on our equipment just as much as our training — especially when working in remote locations or tough off-road terrain.

A huge thank you to Lee Gould at Goulds Service and Repair in Pontardawe for taking exceptional care of our Land Rover. This visit includes:

🔧 MOT
🔧 Full service
🔧 Gearbox & differential service
🔧 Air-suspension service

Vehicles like ours have a long history of being trusted in challenging environments, but that trust only exists when maintenance is done properly and regularly. Off-road capability puts extra strain on every component — from the drivetrain to the suspension — so skilled servicing is essential for our safety and the safety of those who rely on us.

Thanks again to Goulds Service and Repair for keeping us on the road — and off it — safely and confidently.

💥 Another Action-Packed Weekend for the Team! 💥

Saturday night, our team were in Swansea delivering professional medical cover for a White Collar Boxing event 🥊. We deployed a HCPC-registered Paramedic, an experienced Blue Light Emergency Driver, and a qualified FREC to support another medical provider — ensuring robust, compliant, and reliable medical provision throughout the event.
If your combat sports event requires high-standard, fully equipped medical cover, we’re ready to support you.

Meanwhile, our company director Simon was in Carmarthen supporting a busy Christmas Craft Fair 🎄🛍️, providing reassurance and safety for exhibitors and visitors throughout the day.

On Sunday, Simon, Carl and Becky were in Aberaeron delivering medical cover for a well-attended 10K Run 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💨.
We deployed our frontline ambulance AM01 as a convoying resource, helping to reduce pressure on the local NHS, alongside our fully marked 4x4 response vehicle positioned on the course for rapid access to any emergencies.

A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their professionalism and commitment across another busy weekend.

If you’re looking for dependable, fully insured, highly trained event medical cover, get in touch today.

Remembrance Sunday 2025

Today, the team from South Wales Medical Services had the honour of supporting several local Remembrance Day parades across Neath Port Talbot.

Company Director Simon proudly watched his son march in the Neath parade, while Carl and Becky provided medical cover in Pontardawe with AM01, our marked Mercedes ambulance. Later in the morning, Simon and Gareth attended the Briton Ferry parade in our marked stretcher Land Rover, ensuring that all attendees could gather safely to pay their respects.

Remembrance Sunday is a time for reflection — a solemn occasion to honour the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who have given so much in defence of our freedom. Each year, we are deeply humbled to be asked to assist at these events, standing alongside our communities as we remember those who served, those who fell, and those who continue to serve today.

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.” 🌹

🌹 Remembrance Day – 11:11

At the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month, we stop.
For two minutes, the world falls still — sirens fade, engines quiet, voices hush — and in that silence, we remember.

As an Emergency Medical Technician in the ambulance service, I’m reminded that courage doesn’t always wear the same uniform. Whether on the battlefield or in the back of an ambulance, service is born from the same heart — the will to protect others, even when it costs us.

Today, as the clock strikes eleven, I think of those who ran toward danger so others might live. Of the medics who tended the wounded in the mud and smoke of war. Of those who never came home, and those who did — carrying invisible scars.

Their bravery echoes in every act of service we perform today — in every call answered, every life saved, every silent moment held for those who gave everything.

We will remember them.
We must remember them.

🕊️ Poem: “The Silence Between Sirens”

In the hush between the sirens,
Where breath and memory meet,
We stand in still reflection,
On poppy fields and streets.

The fallen whisper softly,
Through static, rain, and flame,
“Hold fast to love and kindness —
And say aloud our names.”

We walk where they once hurried,
To battle or to save,
Different wars, one purpose,
To serve, to heal, to brave.

And when the silence settles,
At the hour marked eleven,
Their spirits stand beside us still,
Our heroes — home in heaven.

At 11:11, take a breath. Remember. Honour. Continue the service they began.
We will remember them. 🌹

🇬🇧 Lest We Forget 🇬🇧

This weekend, South Wales Medical Services is deeply honoured to once again provide medical cover and professional staff for both the Pontardawe and Briton Ferry Remembrance Parades.

Since the day our company was founded, we have been proud to support these remembrance events every year, standing alongside our communities to ensure that all who gather to honour the fallen can do so safely and with dignity.

Remembrance Sunday holds a profound place in our hearts — a time when the nation unites to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.
It marks the anniversary of the end of the First World War — the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918 — a moment that symbolises peace, courage, and remembrance.

As a visible sign of our respect, our vehicles proudly display a symbol of remembrance, in tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of our Armed Forces and all who continue to serve.

We are honoured to play our part in these deeply meaningful events and to continue our tradition of service to the people of South Wales.

We will remember them. 🌺
