We still have a few spaces left on our Mini Medics course this Saturday at Severn Sisters!

Designed for children aged 7+, this fun, hands-on session teaches:

🚑 LAUNCHING FEBRUARY 2026 – MINI MEDIC COURSES IN SOUTH WALES 🚑

South Wales Medical Services is proud to announce the launch of our brand-new training centre at Seven Sisters, South Wales, and we are starting with something special for the next generation of lifesavers.

👩‍⚕️🧑‍⚕️ MINI MEDIC COURSE (AGES 7–13)
Designed specifically for young, up-and-coming medics, our Mini Medic course teaches essential, age-appropriate lifesaving skills that could make a real difference in the future. This is a fun, engaging, and educational introduction to first aid and emergency awareness, delivered by experienced medical professionals.

📅 Proposed course dates:
• 7th February 2026
• 14th February 2026
• 21st February 2026

⏰ Courses will be confirmed once minimum numbers are reached.

💷 Cost: £30 per child (including VAT)
🎁 Includes: Take-home goodies and certificates
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents are welcome to attend

We have been asked by many interested parties for more information on our Mini Medics First Aid course, so we’re pleased to share the details below.

Our Mini Medics course is a fun, interactive, and educational introduction to first aid for children aged 7–11 years (other ages can be accommodated depending on confidence and ability). The focus is on building confidence, safety awareness, and practical lifesaving skills in a supportive environment.

🧠 What children will learn:

✔️ What first aid is and when to get help
✔️ CPR awareness
✔️ How defibrillators (AEDs) work
✔️ Recovery position
✔️ Choking emergencies
✔️ Asthma incidents
✔️ Wounds and bleeding

⏰ Course details:

🕘 All courses start at 09:00
⏱️ Approx. 6 hours duration
🥤 Regular breaks with squash provided
📍 Held at our SWMS Training Centre, Severn Sisters, Neath
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents are welcome to stay for the duration of the course

📘 A 28-page Mini Medics First Aid Book
📖 Student learning resources
🧑‍⚕️ Delivered by experienced medical professionals

♿ Inclusive & supportive learning:

We have staff familiar with ASL and can provide 1-to-1 support for pupils who need it, ensuring every child can fully engage with the course.
