🌟 Looking for Young People (16+) to Join Our Team 🌟

We’re looking for motivated young adults aged 16+ who would like to gain some experience helping out with basic duties at the home – all fully supervised.

Tasks may include:
🎨 Light painting
🌿 Gardening
📦 Bagging old paperwork ready for council collection
🧹 General tidy-up duties

This is a great opportunity to:
✔ Gain experience
✔ Build confidence
✔ Add something positive to your CV
✔ Earn a little weekend spending money 💷

It’s been a quiet few days here at Sketty House as we’ve been managing a norovirus outbreak, and today marks day 6 ☹️ Thankfully, it now appears to be coming to an end, and everyone is on the mend.

Before it joined us, we had a lovely Valentine’s Day celebration filled with smiles, music, and special moments shared together ❤️ It was wonderful to see our residents enjoying themselves and feeling the love.

We’re looking forward to getting back to our normal routines, activities, and creating more happy memories very soon 🫶

Thank you to our amazing staff for their hard work and dedication, and to families for their understanding and support 💙

✨ Saturday Fun at Sketty House ✨

Saturday was all about a little bit of pampering for our lovely residents 💅🧖‍♀️
From feeling fresh to enjoying some well-deserved self-care, it was a perfect way to start the weekend!

And of course… we couldn’t forget getting everyone ready and settled to watch the Six Nations 🏉🍻
Great company, great atmosphere and lots of smiles all around!

Our Terry is enjoying an alcohol-free pint and is back to his usual self 🫶💙 Having been a pub landlord for many years, I can only imagine how many happy memories a pint brings back for him!

Our second group went to Sip & Paint last night up The Dunvant and they had an absolute ball!
I think we’ve definitely got a few hidden artists in the group 🧑‍🎨✨

🎶 Yesterday we had a new entertainer, Jo, visit to entertain our residents and they absolutely loved her! But I think they loved Lucky, her little dog, even more 🤣💖. I’ll admit… Lucky was super cute! 🐶
