What a truly unforgettable celebration for our amazing Hilda’s 100th birthday!

We were honoured to welcome Madam Mayor, who presented Hilda with a beautiful bouquet, which was such a special moment 💐

Hilda was also delighted to open her birthday card from His Majesty the King, and received some lovely flowers from Dawn and the Orchid❤️

The celebrations continued with a stunning cake from Chef Dale, and a fantastic performance from Ukebox Jury, who had everyone smiling, singing and soaking up the party atmosphere 🎶

Thank you to everyone who helped make Hilda’s big day so magical. What a wonderful celebration for an incredible lady 🥰

What do you do when you turn 100?… You pull a pint of course! 🍺✨

When asked how she wanted to celebrate her very special birthday, our wonderful Hilda knew exactly what she wanted - to return to the Shield & Dagger Pub, where she used to work, and get back behind the bar one more time.

And that’s exactly what we did ❤️

Hilda pulled her pint, surrounded by cheers, and lots of memories being shared. A truly meaningful moment and the perfect way to honour such an incredible milestone.

A huge thank you to Cat and the team at the Shield & Dagger for giving Hilda such a warm welcome 🥰

We welcomed Chinese New Year with a wonderful day of culture, creativity and delicious food! Residents enjoyed a special Chinese lunch made by the wonderful kitchen team, before learning all about the traditions and meaning behind the celebration. 🥢

The fun continued as everyone sampled different Chinese foods, practised writing in Mandarin ✍️ and got creative making their very own colourful lanterns. A fantastic day full of learning, smiles and celebration! ❤️

We had a lovely time celebrating Pancake Day! Residents enjoyed learning about the traditions behind this tasty day before having a go at pancake tossing; with lots of laughs along the way! 😄

Of course, the best part was choosing their favourite toppings and enjoying the pancakes together. Safe to say they went down a treat! 🍓🍫🍯
