Last week we got creative with handmade autumn wreaths, using our own cut-out leaves and a sprinkle of imagination. They turned out absolutely beautiful and really captured those cosy autumn vibes! 🍁🎨We also introduced an autumn sensory tray with conkers, leaves and autumn bunting that our residents enjoyed looking through. 🤎

This afternoon we explored a wonderful memory box loaned from STEAM Museum, filled with objects from the 1940s and 50s.

Residents loved handling the items and sharing memories. It sparked so many conversations, “I remember that!” moments and smiles.

We also made our own poppy wreaths using red and purple poppies to hang around the home.

It has been a wonderful day of remembrance ❤️

Today the Orchid came together for a truly moving Remembrance Day service. Martin kindly led us, and Julie played the bugle beautifully as we paused to reflect and honour those who served. It was a wonderful way to commemorate, feeling peaceful, proud and connected.
