Our Saturday Clinics at Taw Hill and Swindon Health Centre are held each week to increase access to primary care services. However, in July 2024, one in six appointments were missed without any prior notice, despite several reminders. Instructions on how to cancel are provided in the texts we send, so please try to let us know in advance so we can offer your appointment to someone else in need!

Thamesdown Drive into Abbey Meads is blocked due to roadworks with a diversion in place please allow extra time to get to your appointments.

Dear patients,

Please be aware that the Abbey Meads Medical Centre and Penhill Surgery will be closed on the 27th May 2024 as this is a bank holiday.

Normal service will resume on Tuesday 28th May 2024.

For any acute medical emergencies on the day that cannot wait until the Tuesday please contact 111 and ask to be referred to Urgent Care.

Dear patients,

We are trialling online consultations this week for Abbey Meads and Penhill patients. Using the link below you can fill out a questionnaire and submit it for a GP to review. You can also request an extension for a Med3 certificate (sick/fit note). We aim to respond to these within 48 hours.

Please note that we are only accepting a small of number of these during this trial period, and only for certain problems. If you cannot find your problem or it says we are not currently accepting requests, you can still ring the practice as usual.
