On 30th August, myself and others are planning to take a huge challenge on by walking 60+ miles to raise money and awareness for mental health 💙

Brothers in Need & Safe Haven are joining forces to take this challenge on !! 💪👊👌

🚶‍♂️‍➡️Mind Over Miles 🚶‍➡️

We’re Brothers in Need, a men’s mental health group offering a safe, supportive space for guys to open up, talk honestly, and support one another — no judgement, no pressure, just real conversations and real connection.

To raise awareness and funds for Burton and District Mind’s Safe Haven, we’re taking on Mind Over Miles — a non-stop 60+ mile walk across Staffordshire. Starting and ending at Safe Haven in Tamworth, we’ll pass through Burton, Uttoxeter, Burntwood and Lichfield — walking through the day and night.

The funds raised will go towards providing additional support services like:
🧘 Mindfulness & yoga
🥗 Healthy eating workshops
💬 Supportive group sessions

It’s not just about walking — it’s about making sure our community has access to the tools and support that make a real difference.

What a weekend it has been!!

The 4 of us got to walk my mom down the aisle! Feels like it has taken me a couple of days to get over it, but it was an amazing reminder of why we work so hard.

Trying to find a balance between running a business and having time for my wife and kids is hard, harder than I ever imagined. I want to grow the business more, but I also don't want to lose the youngers years with my kids.

I sometimes ask myself why I do it and why I push myself every day.

But this weekend reminded me, my family is my WHY ❤️

Customer appreciation Post!

In this industry, no day is a day off, as we have to be on call most of the time. We had a large job booked in to start on bank holiday Monday and on the Sunday I received a text from the customer.

'Hi Tom, we know you have a family and would be good to have the day tomorrow with them, we are more than happy for you to start the work on Tuesday if you would like to!'

Of course, I took them up on the offer and thanked them for being so kind. We went to Drayton Manor and had a fantastic day.

It really is the family moments that count and the reason we work so hard. ❤️❤️
