Willow & Glow We are a couple of besties who between us have around 20 years experience working in the NHS as well as being mums of two kiddies each.

One of the things we love is getting in the thick of it and working alongside all of the amazing people we are lucky enough to meet. After many chats about ideas and dreams we have decided to give our own little venture a go. Who knows what it will look like but we know we want it to include you! So here we are with Willow & Glow! 🌳 Friday Wellbeing Wisdom: What Trees Teach Us

When we step into the presence of trees, something in us softens. Our breath deepens. Our nervous system settles. It’s not imagined it’s pure biology. Trees release calming compounds, steady the air around us and offer a sense of safety that our bodies instinctively recognise.

Spending time with trees supports lower stress levels, improved mood, clearer thinking and a more regulated nervous system. Their slow, grounded rhythm invites us to pause, to breathe and to return to ourselves.

Trees remind us how to stand tall yet flexible, how to root deeply while reaching for light, how to let go when the season calls for it. They are living teachers in resilience, balance and quiet strength.

This weekend, take a moment to lean into their wisdom. Walk amongst them. Sit beneath one. Notice how your body responds. Let nature do what it does best restore, rebalance and reconnect you to your wilder wellbeing.

We started with thinking about roots - where we have come from, where we are growing to.

The Willow Tree has adaptability, can hold it's own in the face of rough winds, weather, whatever life throws at it.

Many see it as inspiring and symbolic of our capability to withstand hardship and difficult times.

Glow came from fireflies - which symbolise hope. They illuminate in the darkness and they dance synchronised. It symbolises harmony and unity showing how important it is to live in harmony with nature and each other.

Hi everyone 👋🏻

Life is busy, unpredictable and sometimes overwhelming. I help people bring simple practical mindfulness into their daily lives making it an accessible tool for managing stress, anxiety and life’s challenges. I want to show you that mindfulness doesn’t need to be just something else on the to do list.

I know firsthand how powerful mindfulness can be, not just in theory but in real life when it helped (& continues to help) me through a difficult time in my life. During the pandemic I worked one to one with people both online and in person, guiding them to use mindfulness in a way that truly makes a difference. More recently I’ve deepened my own practice, reinforcing how these small shifts can create big changes.

Mindfulness isn’t about siting for hours in meditation or learning complex techniques. My approach is about finding what works for you – bringing mindfulness into your day in a way that feels natural and sustainable for you to continue using this daily and in difficult times.

So, whether you are navigating stress, feeling overwhelmed or just looking for more balance, I’d love to support you in discovering how mindfulness can help.

Let’s work together to make mindfulness work for your life, not add to the pressure of it 💜
