Developmental Language Disorder impacts on LANGUAGE. To understand DLD, we need to understand language. One way to look at language is to think about form, content and use. 'Form' is about the phonology (speech sounds), morphology (parts of words) and sentences. 'Content' is what is being communicated, and relates to vocabulary. 'Use' is about the speaker's intentions, and how they use the language socially.
