YinFix

YinFix Hi, I’m Donna. My journey with yoga spans over 25 years, but it wasn’t until 2019 that I discovered yin yoga. Intrigued, I sought to deepen my practice.

Join me as we find life balance through the practice of yin yoga • Poses are held for some time, allowing you to settle in & connect with your body • Adaptable • Mostly on the floor • Engages connective tissues, meridians & nervous system Struggling with meditation, I found that the inward focus of this practice gave my wandering mind somewhere to place its attention. The guidance was simple but the effects were huge; that night, I felt an incredible buzz throughout my body, hardly sleeping at all. I now know that my nervous system was responding to the calm I had long needed. During quiet moments, I’d tap back into my breath and search for the stillness – it became easier each time. Attending every yin class my yoga teacher offered, the jitteriness of my first experience was replaced by deep relaxation and restful sleep. In 2023, I completed a yin yoga teacher training course to find out more about its amazing benefits. Sharing my knowledge with others has been humbling and rewarding. Encouraged by my experiences and the responses of my students, I’m committed to ongoing learning and growth – not just for myself, but for everyone I teach.

Still space in Tuesday’s class…

If you're feeling a little tight across the shoulders, neck or upper back, this class is for you. We'll be settling into shapes that release tension and open up the rib cage, allowing you to take your fullest breath. Everyone welcome.

Our next monthly class at Alpraham & Calveley Village Hall is on Tuesday 3rd June, 7-815pm. The cost is £10 (£8 for concessions). I like to keep the class size small and have enough props to support everyone, so spaces are limited. Please email now to reserve your place: donna.yinfix@gmail.com

If you haven’t tried yin yoga (or perhaps, any style of yoga) – I really urge you to give it a go: it’s slow-paced, nearly all done on the floor and can be adapted to any body. There are benefits that can be felt from just one session (many participants report having a great night’s sleep after).

I like to keep the class small for a more personal experience, and have enough blocks and bolsters to support everyone. Yinterested? Please drop me a line to book, or find out more... donna.yinfix@gmail.com

Classes are held once a month at Alpraham & Calveley Village Hall, 7-8:15pm. Our next class will be on Tuesday 3rd June.

This photo was taken at the beginning of December – our last session of the year. Following that, the pace of life ramped up but I can still feel the profound peace and tranquility that radiated the room. Can't wait to get back to it in January, dates to follow...

Demands on our time and energy tend to increase at this time of year, so it can feel counter-intuitive to slow down. But if we pause in a nourishing way, just for a short while, the positive effects can be felt throughout our life… being able to think more clearly, prioritise and take action with intent.

If this resonates with you, you may wish to join us at Alpraham & Calveley Village Hall this Monday evening. It’s our last session of the year and is open to new members.

Please DM or email me at donna.yinfix@gmail.com so I can send details and prepare your space.
