The weekend can be a tricky time when you’re trying to lose weight. Nights out, takeaways, family meals, or just that “I’ll start again on Monday” voice creeping in. Sound familiar? 🙈

But here’s the truth—staying on track at the weekend doesn’t mean missing out. It just means making choices that work for you. Swap “I’ll start again Monday” for “I’m still in control today.”

Imagine how amazing you’ll feel on Monday morning knowing you didn’t undo your progress—you kept going. And remember, Slimming World is about balance. You can still enjoy your favourite foods, plan for that glass of wine, and say yes to dessert, all while staying on plan.

Just over 1 year ago I had an “over-50” NHS Health Check-up and was told I was borderline for some health concerns.

The scales confirmed what I had felt 🥴 and being over 15stone at 5’ tall I was advised to meet with the nutritionalist.

I told the nurse I’m heading to Slimming World in two days' time and she said Great!

Six months later with my Club 10 and 2 stone award under my belt, all my checks came back good, no more concerns but I knew there was more to come off.

The next stone took another 6 months but now with 3 stones off I feel so much better. Still more to go but I’ve bought myself a bike and am enjoying life and holidays a lot more. Still rare to find me in front of a camera but here are the most recent pictures of me 😆

When you’re away on holiday and this pops up on your feed… yes, I’ll admit I’m a little jealous! Why? Because I wasn’t there to celebrate with Sammy. 💕

But truthfully, I couldn’t be prouder – well done, gorgeous, you’ve smashed it! 🌟

So often we think success is only measured by the number on the scales—but Slimming World members know it’s about so much more than that.

It’s about being able to zip up those jeans without holding your breath.
It’s about walking up the stairs without feeling out of puff.
It’s about feeling more confident when you catch your reflection in the mirror.

These non-scale victories are sometimes even more powerful than the numbers. They remind us why we started and show us how far we’ve come.

So today, pause and think: what’s YOUR non-scale victory? Maybe you’ve noticed your clothes feel looser, you’ve chosen water over wine, or you’ve said “no thanks” to biscuits at work. All those little wins add up to big changes over time.
