Things are changing in Slimming World groups up and down the country. Following on from research with our members past and present we have listened 👂 and have responded in a BIG way!

Our group format has changed and I am proud to be offering this in my group ( and my members are LOVING it)

July 2025: “I really want to lose weight, but there’s no point in starting now - I’m going on holiday in 2 weeks”

August 2025: “I still want to lose weight, but I’ll just wait until the schools go back”

September 2025: “ Maybe it’s time to join, but I’ve got two nights out this month so I’ll wait until next month”

October 2025: “Right this month I’m going to start… but Halloween is coming up so I know there will be loads of sweets. I’ll get that out the way first. “

November 2025: “I’m feeling really low, I really really want to lose weight. But I better save my money for Christmas.”

December 2025: “There’s absolutely no point joining in December I’ve got far too many nights out.”

January 2026: “Slimming World will be mobbed just now with it being a brand new year. I’ll just wait until next month.”

February 2026: “I wished I’d joined 6 months ago. If I lost 1.5lb per week I would have been over 3 stones lighter by now. “

🔦 Member Spotlight – Meet Helen
From Health Centre Reception to Health Champion

Helen works as a receptionist in a busy health centre. Every day, she sees the toll that poor health can take on people’s lives—and it made her stop and think.

She realised: “I can’t change their outcomes… but I can take control of my own health.”

👩‍⚕️ Being in the health profession, Helen knew exactly what the risks of excess weight were:

Type 2 diabetes

Heart disease & high blood pressure

Joint pain

Sleep apnoea

Fatty liver disease

❗She decided it was time to act. Prevention, not cure.

So in January 2023, she joined our Early Bird 🐦 Friday 7:30am group with a goal to lose 3½ stone.

And guess what? She’s absolutely smashing it.

(And yes, you can lose weight and still enjoy delicious food 😄)

Monday isn’t just the start of the week—it’s your reset button.
New leaf. New page. Same amazing you… just with a little more planning and a lot more faith in yourself.

Here are a few quotes to get the motivation simmering:

🍽️ "Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently."

And a few quick wins to help you make this week one to feel proud of:

📅 Plan Today, Win the Week Ahead!

Sunday’s not just for roast dinners and dodgy TV – it’s your secret weapon to get ahead before Monday even blinks.

✨Here’s how to keep it light, simple and actually doable:

1. Brain dump it all – Everything buzzing in your head? Get it out. On paper. In your phone. On the back of a cereal box.

2. Pick your top 3 – What really needs doing this week? The rest can wait (or magically disappear 👀).

3. Plan some joy – Yes, joy. Coffee with a mate, a walk, dancing like no one’s watching (or even better, when someone is).

4. Meal cheat sheet – No full meal prep required. Just know what’s for tea tomorrow and pretend you're a domestic god/goddess.

✅ Bonus tip: Treat planning like brushing your teeth. You don’t always want to do it, but it makes everything better in the long run.

🔦 Spotlight on our target members

Weight can have a big impact on our wellbeing, and it's so easy to put it on; it's much easier than taking it off again (especially if you go it alone)

Im sure some of us can relate to Marions' story. The weight went on so easily, she could put a lot on in a short period of time. Marion had been a yo yo dieter since her mid teens.

She would be really restrictive with what she ate, goung hungry and going without. Every time she got to her goal weight, she would put weight back on and every time a bit more.

When she got to her biggest, she decided enough was in enough and went on to lose 5 and half stone. She struggled to keep it off as she hadn't learnt how to adapt her eating habits to help sustain it.

That's when she decided to join Slimming world, she suddenly felt educated as to what she could eat without ever being hungry. She has managed to keep her weight under control since March 2019. It hasn't always been the smoothest of rides, but it's been worth it.

I’ve got short legs. Even petite trousers give me that “just add scissors” vibe 😄

Yes, I could complain… or I could trot around in my almost-fitting trousers and get on with what matters — helping people thrive.

Because here's the truth:
📦 Life doesn’t always fit perfectly
🪡 Sometimes you have to hem, tweak or completely change direction
