You never truly touch anything.

When you press your hand against a table, the atoms in your skin and the atoms in the table never actually meet. What you feel as touch is the electromagnetic force between electrons in those atoms pushing against each other.

Electrons carry negative charge. When the electrons in your skin get close to the electrons in the table, they repel each other strongly. That repulsion creates pressure in your nerves, and your brain interprets that signal as “touch.”

On top of that, quantum mechanics adds another layer. The Pauli exclusion principle prevents electrons from occupying the same quantum state. This rule of nature stops atoms from collapsing into each other and gives matter its structure and rigidity.

So the feeling of solidity is not particles smashing together. It is forces balancing at incredibly small distances.

What we call “touch” is really a microscopic force field interaction happening trillions of times across the surface of your skin.

A gentle herbal walk on historic monastic land. Meet wild plants, feel their scent and texture, and reconnect to nature at Abbey Manor

Join Daria for a slow, peaceful herbal walk on the private grounds of Abbey Manor, Buildwas — a beautiful landscape beside the ancient ruins of Buildwas Abbey, where wild herbs have grown for centuries.

This is not a foraging class and not a technical workshop.

It is a calm, guided walk designed to help you reconnect with nature through simple, direct experience.

For two unhurried hours, we will explore the plants that thrive on this historic land, noticing their scent, texture, shape and presence. You will hear short stories about their traditional uses, but the focus will be on meeting the plants in a natural, intuitive way — through touch, smell and quiet observation.

🌱 What to expect

During this walk, you will be invited to:

- smell early‑spring herbs that have grown here for generations

- feel the textures of wild growing plants

- notice how plants express themselves through posture and resilience

- experience the calm atmosphere of monastic land

- enjoy a gentle tree‑hugging moment with one of the old trees (optional)

- try a short barefoot grounding practice (weather‑permitting)

- use a small clear quartz piece as a tactile anchor during grounding

- slow down and let the landscape set the pace

Everything is optional, gentle and suitable for all levels.

🌿 Plants & traditional uses

We will meet early‑spring herbs such as nettle, cleavers, wild garlic and more that naturally grow around the estate. Daria will include a short story about how herbs were used by monks in the past.

Daria will share simple, short information about how these plants were traditionally used for nourishment, soothing or seasonal support.

You will learn through experience, not memorisation.

🌳 Why this place is special

Abbey Manor Buildwas sits beside the remains of a medieval monastery.

The land carries a quiet, reflective atmosphere shaped by centuries of herbal knowledge and deep connection with nature.

Many of the plants we will meet today grow in the same places their ancestors grew hundreds of years ago.

This walk allows you to reconnect with them in a way that feels personal, grounding and alive.

🌬️ Who this walk is for

- anyone seeking calm, grounding and gentle exploration

- people who enjoy nature but prefer a slow, quiet pace

- those curious about herbs without wanting a technical class

- creatives, nature lovers, neurodivergent minds

- anyone who wants to feel more connected to the land

🦶 Practical notes

- Barefoot grounding is optional and weather‑dependent

- Tree‑hugging is gentle and optional

- Small group for a quiet, intimate atmosphere

- Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes

🌙 You will leave with

- a calmer nervous system

- a deeper connection to the land

- a new way of noticing plants

- one simple grounding practice you can use anywhere

Join us and let this quiet walk become a small, meaningful pause in your week - a moment to breathe, reconnect and held by nature.

Amen to that x

Beautiful souls recognize beautiful souls.

At the heart of every great business is something deeper than products or service… there is purpose. It’s the commitment to show up every day with integrity and to create something meaningful for the people we serve.

We believe that when a business stays true to its values, it naturally attracts the right people: passionate group members, 1:1 clients that are genuinely committed to their wellbeing and growth and a community that believes in the mission as much as we do.

We will continue to lead with honesty, grow with intention, and build with heart. When we stay genuine, the people who truly belong in our journey will always find their way to us.

Together, we’re building something bigger than business, we’re building community.

Love as Always
Jo 🤍🙏🏻🕊️

At The Sound Space - Jackfield Tile museum this morning, these little ones spent about 10 minutes dancing a fluttering around my van mirror admiring themselves flying and bobbing up and down - it was magical to watch ❤️🙏

It's starting to get lighter again, and we are slowly seeing more sun here and there.

A lovely view of Buildwas Abbey from our grounds.
