🍰☕ Teams across our locations have been busy whisking, baking and brewing for Macmillan Cancer Support, hosting coffee mornings and bake offs that brought people together for a brilliant cause.

From lemon drizzle triumphs to decorated showstoppers, our communities and offices raised over £2,300 to help support those affected by cancer, with more donations still coming in!

A massive thank you to everyone who baked, donated, and joined in. 💚

What did you get up to over the Bank Holiday weekend?
It was party time at our ShireLiving schemes in Cannock and Telford! 🎉

⛱ At Chasewood, Cannock, tenants enjoyed a lively beach party with games, raffles, music, and plenty of delicious food.

☀️ Over in Parkwood, Telford, the team welcomed the community to their annual Summer Fete 2025. With a great turnout, lots of stalls to explore and plenty of food to enjoy, the day was a real highlight of the bank holiday weekend.

A huge thank you to both teams for their hard work in planning, decorating, cooking, hosting and making sure everyone had a brilliant time. 💜

🌞 What a fantastic day at Hazelwood! 🌸

What an amazing day at the very first Summer Fete at ShireLiving’s brand new scheme in Whitchurch. It was a wonderful afternoon full of fun, stalls, BBQ, games, entertainment and community spirit.

A big thank you to all the staff and residents who helped make the day such a great success. Your energy, creativity, and teamwork brought Hazelwood to life.

Here’s to many more events to come at Hazelwood! 💜

🧶Purling Together for a Good Cause 🧶

Last weeks Summer Fayre at Withywood was a great success, thanks to the hard work and support of tenants and staff! 👏

A grand total of £530 was raised for the Tenant Fund, and an additional £500 for Operation Sabre, through a raffle organised by the Knit and Natter group, featuring a handmade farmyard set.

The raffle was won by tenant Harry, who kindly donated the prize back so it can be given to children supported by the Targu Mures Child Protection Unit in Romania. Operation Sabre will deliver the set during their next visit later this year.

Funds raised will support the creation of an outdoor play area for children in care, which will include a plaque recognising the support from Withywood. Operation Sabre is planning a return visit to Withywood later in the year to give a talk and slideshow about the impact of the donation.

🏡 Welcome to Hazelwood, Marie! 🏡

It’s been an exciting time in Whitchurch as new tenants begin moving into Hazelwood, our newest ShireLiving community.

Hazelwood offers 71 beautifully designed extra care apartments, and it’s already becoming a vibrant hub - not just for tenants, but for the wider community too, thanks to the welcoming onsite café.

Meet Marie, one of the first to move in. She’s made the move to be closer to her daughter and grandson, and it’s already starting to feel like home 💜

Ewe Could Be the Winner! 🐑🧶🎟️

The Withywood Knit & Natter Group have been busy crafting a wonderful farmyard display in support of Operation Sabre, a charity providing aid to Ukraine.

You can buy raffle tickets from our tenants at Withywood for a chance to win the entire display! The lucky winner will be drawn during Withywood Summer Fayre on 26th July, 2–5pm at Withywood, Pension Way, Shrewsbury.

A representative from Operation Sabre will also be joining us on the day. Come along, show your support, and be part of something special!
