PROTECT YOUR PEACE //

We would do anything for those we love,
But somewhere along the way, we decided that taking care of ourselves and protecting our peace wasn't part of that same story.

So what does protecting your peace look like?

For me, it's a little morning routine:
- A reflection and self reiki
- A reminder of the let them theory
- Reminder of boundaries I've set
- Remembering I can only control my response and not how people respond or behave
- And healthy routine for my day
It doesn't need to take long.

It starts with reflection...
- What, where, or who makes you feel good (or not so good)
- Did you sleep well? How does a good or not so good night impact you?
- Reminder to practice self-awareness and kindness for the energy and capacity you have
- What habits are time-consuming and leaving you feeling drained? Can you reduce or avoid them?

There's no time like the present to start....
Don't wait for Monday or next month.

How does reflective practice in my nursing carer translate into the work I do in the world of wellbeing?

As a nurse, reflection and reflective practice are something that we do from the start of our training. It's also one of a number of things we do to enable us to stay compliant and stay on the nursing register. From reflecting on how our first ward shift went, to what we observe, feel and how we reaction to certain situations. This reflection is what led me to where I am now in business and with regards to my own wellbeing.

Wellbeing is so much more than attending a sound bath, breathing deeply and creating calm.
It's a state of health involving all aspects of life.. social, emotional, physical, financial and environmental. Knowing that all areas of your life are in a state of health requires reflection.

But we have to start somewhere.
And in my experience, while calming breathwork won't create complete balance and harmony throughout your life, it's a great starting point for our reflective practice.
When we focus on the breath we can create space and awareness, we can steady the nervous system, and release tension.

Why not give it a try?
Sit or lay somewhere comfy and just breathe.
Close the eyes if it feels comfortable to, and notice the breath.
Then start to slow it down, take longer slower breaths in, and longer slower breaths out.
Try it for a minute or two then reflect on how you feel after.

If you're keen to find out more why not book on to one of the sessions I run locally or online:
- Women's Circle 20.3.26
- Yin Yoga
- Baby massage and parent wellbeing
- Online Yoga Mondays and Wednesdays 9am

NURSING & WELLBEING //

20 years ago, I moved into uni halls.

I wanted to be a nurse to help families, families who were experiencing challenging times,
And make it a little less s**t.

I think I did that... I hope I did that, for at least 1 family.

What I didn't realise is that this job, this work, was going to test and change me in ways I'd never understand until later on.

In nursing, one of the things we are encouraged to do on a regular basis is reflect. It's also part of how we stay on the nursing register.
Reflection has been part of my life for 20 years now, in thought, mostly written on paper, and it's what's enabled me to release anxiety and tension, process difficult thoughts, feelings or experiences, grow and heal.

It's now a huge part of what I do and support clients with now.
I also love that the science and the feeling are now being accepted as one and the same!

It will always be part of my routine... if you'd like to know more and maybe try a few reflective techniques as part of a yoga, reiki or mindfulness session, I'm very happy to help!

BABY MASSAGE //

Tuesdays 12-12.45 at BoCo in Surbiton
✨️✨️ TUESDAY 10th March ✨️✨️

This is so much more than an baby massage class.
It's an opportunity, to slow down, breathe deeply, connect with yourself, your baby and new friends.

Baby massage has been used for thousands of years,
The benefits are endless:-

Promoting confidence in parents
Promoting calm and connection
Reduces risk of postnatal anxiety and depression

From a physiological perspective, as a paediatric nurse, I love that it has a lot of evidence base behind it too, but it can also improve sleep quality, patterns and improve digestion, circulation, supports during and after coughs and colds.

CIRCLES //

You're being pulled in every direction, and you're rarely left with space to consider your own needs, with time to calm your nervous system, slow the breath and mind, and reconnect with yourself.

We are your circle. The space you crave.

Circles are space for women to come together every month. To slow down, connect, release, reflect, ground, and leave feeling soothed, nurtured, and reconnected.

Each month is themed, safe, and relaxed.

✨️ What can you expect?
During our 90 minutes in circle, we:
- are guided through breathwork that regrounds and centres us
- Reflect on a journalling topic
- take the opportunity to share (absolutely no obligation)
- stretch and relax - mat based stretches
- sink deeply into our guided meditation

Circles are always confidential spaces. You're always welcome to be your unadulterated, full, open, and honest self.

We are your circle
You're always welcome here ✨️

👋🏼 Hi I'm Lynsey...

It's been a while, so I thought I'd reintroduce myself.

I'm a lover of spontaneity, I love boats and paddleboarding, I love snacks and love stories/ movies.
I live in the moment, my circle is small, but mighty.
Science and movement have been the foundation of all I have done and probably all I will ever do. I love the facts but also the feels.
I'm still no stranger to a little anxiety and overthought, but I am now the proud utiliser of tools to overcome them.

For years, I lived on the inhale, but I'm now comfy with the fact that the exhale is where the good life happens!
I thought that the facts and feelings were two different things, but in reality, they can co-exist so happily.

I'm 39 yrs old, Im a mum, wife, auntie, daughter, sister, friend, and lucky enough to still say granddaughter!
I'm a qualified nurse, yoga instructor, baby massage instructor, circle guide, and reiki healer.
( I have been so many other things, but that's a story for another day! )

What I do here:-
Hold space through circle, movement, and meditation.
Support bonding, confidence, connection, through reflection, reset, and reconnecting.

I'm here to support you in finding your exhale, your rest, your release from all that you've been carrying.
To realise you're enough as you are and your wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings are always valid.

You're always welcome here.
Come and join me on the exhale sometime
✨️

I'd love to know a little more about you. Share something I don't already know about you below.

I don't use the word should very often,
but taking time for yourself really should be something you're doing!

Not just for you, so you sleep better, feel better and enjoy some calm for a while...
There's so much more to it than that!

Have you heard of the ripple effect?
Have you ever walked into a room and a certain person/ place just doesn't feel right, it makes you want to turn and run right?
The opposite can also be true, when we feel calmer, more grounded, happier and connected, those around us feel it too..
Well if you're a parent, or caregiver of any kind, this is one of my non negotiables for being the best parent/ caregiver I can be.. those around you feel your calm, your connection and it ripples out.

If you'd like to test the theory and aren't sure where to start, come and join us at our monthly womens circle.

Februarys Circle will see us romanticising your life, so if taking time for you, or women's circles are new to you, this is the perfect time to explore!

You're so welcome here.
There is never any obligation to share, just to come with an open heart and leave with it full.

Welcome to The Little Hartly Wellness Club!

I’m Lynsey. Paediatric Nurse, Wife, Baby Massage & Yoga Instructor, founder and owner of The Little Hartly Wellness Club and most recently Mama. Based in SW London.

The Little Hartly Wellness Club was created to promote and support wellbeing and connection, for families, in what has become a hectic and disconnected world.

After years of working as a nurse I got burnt out and realised there is no way you can look after others if you don’t look after yourself. YOU CANNOT POUR FROM AN EMPTY CUP! Self care and wellbeing are more important now than ever before, the demands of modern life are taxing, not only for you career and personal goals, but relationships and mental and physical health.

So I wanted to create a space where people could discover wellbeing and self care, as well as supporting them to create a bond that will last a lifetime with their families through baby massage and yoga. And realise that although your children are your world, they will get the best of you when you take care of yourself too!
