I am Lowland Leader qualified with the MTA and I actually find reading maps easier in the mountains these days. Not because I am naturally talented, but because I have put the hours in, time after time, to learn it properly and keep the skills alive. It takes patience, commitment and plenty of mistakes before it starts to feel natural. But it is absolutely worth it πβ¨β¨β¨
