"I’m really proud of my achievement. I chose to fundraise for the Liberty Tea Rooms & Community Hub because that’s where I volunteer.”

Alex, a gentleman we support in Hemel Hempstead, is rightly proud to show us his medal for completing the TCS London Marathon. An incredible 26.2 miles in just under 5 hours, he raised a phenomenal £7,265 for Liberty Tea Rooms, a community hub which provides support, a place to meet and a foodbank for the local community.

Alex also stepped out of his comfort zone to speak on the radio about his journey, a very proud moment.

To top it all off, he was recently awarded Volunteer of the Year, voted for by his peers, who described him as “cheerful, willing, hardworking and a total joy.”

Wow Alex, you're smashing it!
