One of the things I absolutely LOVE doing is hitting the pavement early on a Sunday morning and getting some miles in.

No rush
No traffic
No pressure

Just me, the road and the morning sun.

Today was the first time I've been able to do that this year.

I feel great for it.

What made this even better is coming home, brewing up a coffee and enjoying it in the garden while seeing all of my clients proudly posting about their weekend achievements so far.

One of my 'meditation mileage' thoughts was just what that Tiger logo on the chest means to people.

It's a sense of belonging
It's accountability
It's wanting to be a better version of yourself

To name a few.

As a personal trainer, I love to celebrate all the wins. No matter how big or small they are.

It fills me with so much happiness, excitement and fulfilment.

If I could pay my mortgage with it, I'd have paid it off 10 times over.

So sitting here, seeing how everyone is making the change, putting in effort and enjoying the freedom of movement in a body that we're building, reminds me of just why I love this industry, the highs that come with the success and lives we save with exercise.

Bunny Run 🐰

A beautiful morning to finish off a beautiful week of weather 🌞

I had the opportunity to warm the runners up before heading off on the course (A opportunity I didn't get last year as the alerter went off just as we were about to start the run 🚒)

I finally caught up with Ryan W on the meadow and we ran together, keeping each other pushing that little bit harder 🔥

A sub 20 and a second place position, keeping Ryan at arms length 😉 never finishing first at these events but at least I didn't get beaten by today 🤣

Hi guys,

It's been a while since i've done a reintroduction on my page so to all my new followers, here's a little about me.

I’m Richard Taylor, Personal Trainer, owner and head coach at Tiger Fitness and The Functional Fitness Suite

With over 10 years of coaching experience, I’m passionate about helping people build strength, confidence, and long-term fitness through smart, structured training.

Alongside running my coaching business, I also serve as a retained firefighter, which has strengthened my focus on discipline, teamwork, resilience, and high performance.

I'm also co owner with my beautiful wife of an events company called Tiger Events East Anglia

I specialise in Fitness Racing, building strength through range of motion and bringing people together to improve their mental wellbeing.

I currently run eight small-group PT sessions per week, alongside offering 1-to-1 and 1-to-2 personal training from my own private gym.

Outside of coaching, I enjoy photography and exploring National Trust sites with my wife, which helps keep balance, creativity, and perspective in both life and work.

Thetford step marathon ⛰️

If you don't like heavy breathing, tune out now!

A round up of the Thetford step marathon that i completed in December.

To my knowledge, only one other person has completed it. (The legend Mandy Andrews!)

Completion time 2 hours 44 minutes 02 seconds.

I'm given any body who completes this a free t shirt - just send me the strava proof or invite me down to witness it!

WTF - Where's the finish? Ultra marathon 🏃‍♂️

If there's one run that is worth donating to our cause for, it's this one!!

47.33km my first distance further than a marathon since running an actual marathon 2 years agin in Brighton - Which i hated and vowed i'd never do another.

Anyways, fast forward to 2026 and the night (well early hours of the next morning) of our Tiger bash, I decided to sign up to do a 30km (fuelled by baby guinness 😋)

Initially I had signed up to complete a 30k but I felt good at 30k, so I carried on going and of course surprised myself with the distance. The furthest i've run since 2024 was last Sunday where I completed a social run and racked up 25km.

It was easier to count laps, rather than KM or miles. So the strategy was easy... 6 laps.. then just another lap after that!

Total time 4:22:46 with a marathon time of 3 hours 49 mins. Also, chuffed to have achieved a third place! 🥉

Happy with that! And of course pleased to add some more miles to the Fire fighters charity challenge, along side my colleague Scott, who also smashed the same distance 🔥

Run 4 for the 1000 mile challenge to raise awareness and funds for The Fire Fighters Charity

A steady 13km, making most of the training time before my clients start to arrive!

My main goal this month is to get stronger get more buff 🤣 this challenge is a mild inconveniece to that but i'm still doing my bit.

New Years Day 10k - 40 second Course PB 🥳 official time 40.41

Chuffed to have made it to it this one (last year i had the WORST wine hangover after NYE celebrations!)

Enjoyed a more strategic race, pacing better than previous years which paid off.

I always forget about the damn hill until I look over the map the night before 🤪

This was the first of my runs towards the 1000 mile challenge set for my colleagues and I at Thetford Fire Station 🚒 we're raising money for again this year

I never thought running would be such an enjoyable way to exercise. I've always been interested in weights and functional fitness but i do get a high like no other when running with a group of people.

Parkrun has been a large part of our training week at Tiger Fitness. We all get together at various places to enjoy a run and coffee after - it's such a social buzz and the high you get from watching others pushing themselves and striving for better is amazing - I wish you could bottle that feeling!

Thank you to all the volunteers who give up their time to allow us to run, for free, with each other every week!
