For those who missed this last week's announcement..someone's about to get bigger 🤣💙
Rhianna is super excited as she partakes in her very own prenatal fitness journey, and advocates the benefits of staying active and moving throughout all stages of pregnancy 🤰
Remember, we are both fully qualified in pre & postnatal fitness, so you can feel rested that the exercises we do are adapted to suit pregnancy and your postpartum journey.
We wanted to take a minute to look at some of the reasons why and how exercising - in particular, strength training - can benefit you and your baby during this magical yet transforming time:
💞 Supports posture, balance, and circulation
🦴 Muscle gaining or maintaining supports joint health
🪷 Can reduce pelvic, back, and hip discomfort
✨️ Supports healthy weight gain
❤️ Can reduce the risk of Gestational Diabetes by improving blood sugar regulation, and reduce the risks of pre-eclampsia and high blood pressure
🧠 Improves emotional and mental wellbeing, helping prevent/manage stress & anxiety
🫶 Increased strength & endurance for labour
🙌 Improves energy levels and can reduce fatigue
💤 Improve quality of sleep
🌸 Helps prepare your body for post partum recovery
👶 Positive benefits to the development of baby, such as cognitive health and the reduced risk of bigger birth weight and of obesity in infancy
Think we'll leave it there.. but to sum up - we love exercise and all that it brings! 😍
Fear not - the show must go on! We will continue to be there for all you fantastic Mamas, and soon Little Man will be joining us in class! 💙
*Please always be guided by your overseeing healthcare professional should there be any doubt as to whether or not you should partake in exercise - whether pre or postnatal. Always listen to your body and your individual needs 🙏
