An apology from me. I'm stuffed up with another bloody cold so I'm just going to bed this evening. Not going to SW this evening and not swimming afterwards. 😦 I will however be awake at 1am tomorrow morning as it's time for the first F1 practice session of 2026. End of Month.

It's been a week of up and down, not just in the case of my Mental Heath to be honest. A loss again last week was a bit of a help but after a poor weekend then the rest of the week has really continued along in that vein. Friday night wasn't so bad. Pizza, beer and a Swimming Pool

So it's a new week and again, not the best start. At least there's no beer this weekend and I hope that might help me with the rest of the week. I did a bit of cooking on Friday so have enough bolognese sauce to keep me going for a while. I also did another Iceland shop so lots of Slimming World meals to keep me on the straight and narrow....

Mid February 2026

The disappointment of putting weight on last week hasn't best helped me with the start to this one. I went shopping after the group last week and bought some food that was certainty not conducive to the World of Slim. Having scoffed that junk within an hour of getting it home I hoped that I had got it out of my system....

February Fail.

Not the best start to the week if I'm honest. Work on Friday was intense and it got to me a bit I suppose. I had to get some crappy crisps. That wasn't such a good idea. I had a great curry in the evening though. Chicken curry, onions, tomatoes and some 0% Greek yoghurt to make it a bit creamy....

My week on the World of Slim hasn't been too bad this week. I think that it could have been better but for the moment I'm happy with the way it has gone. Two Down

A quiet week again with very little happening. I had my appraisal in work this week and was a bit apprehensive about it. I hoped for a good write up and it was generally okay. The usual things about productivity came up as they've done in every job I've ever had. I'm not the fastest worker in the world but I do hope that I'm thorough and while it may take me longer I hope the result is better....

January Faithful

A new week and already the middle of the month. January started with a massive gain and it really gave me a shock. I don't think that it's surprising that a gain was on the cards but I knew that I would need to be on my best behaviour in the next few weeks. New Year, New Me and all that bo****ks!

So it's been a great couple of weeks in the life of Phil. Not so great in the World of Slim however. Christmas week wasn't that bad to be honest as I did get out of it with a small loss, but the New Year and my trip to Scotland has piled on the pounds. I didn't weigh last week so between Christmas and this weeks weigh in, I've managed to put on 6lbs....

Not the best.

It's two weeks to Christmas and it's becoming extremely difficult to stick anywhere near to the Slimming World plan. It's due to change in the new year with all sorts of friendly fats, extra dairy and fibre choices coming in. I suppose that it gives me a chance to start fresh in January. Last weeks loss was very welcome but the weekend had put my chances of another loss in jeopardy....

So it's a new week and it's been a while since I last posted. Sorry for the lack of posts but it's not been a very good few weeks. I've been ill and quite far off plan. It started off amazingly with a trip to Munich to see the mighty Skindred in concert.
