Our amazing residents let their imaginations run wild, turning everyday items like potatoes, string, sponges , leaves into stunning works of art! 🥔🍃🖌️

From swirling paint-soaked string across paper to stamping with potato shapes — we brought out our inner child 🧒

What a gorgeous way to spend the afternoon — full of fun, smiles, cups of tea and creative expression! 🌈👏

What a day we've had at the community centre! 💃🎤🍰

Dancing, singing, plenty of cake, and lots of laughter with our village friends – it’s no wonder our monthly outing is a firm favourite with everyone at Rose Cottage.

🎉 Infection Control Inspection Success – We Scored 99%! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to share that Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) officers from Bradford Council recently visited our care home — and we achieved an outstanding 99% score in their inspection! 🌟

What is an IPC inspection?
These inspections are carried out by the local council to make sure care homes are doing everything possible to keep residents, staff, and visitors safe from infections. The team looks closely at hygiene, cleanliness, PPE usage, staff training, and overall infection control practices.

They assess areas such as:
✅ Hand hygiene practices
✅ Cleaning routines and schedules
✅ PPE (personal protective equipment) usage
✅ Laundry and waste handling
✅ Staff training and awareness
✅ Our policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infection

Scoring 99% is a huge recognition of the hard work, care, and commitment our team shows every day to keep our home safe and well. 💙

Weekday fun so far…and more to come this weekend!
We’ve been keeping busy with daily armchair exercises, some relaxing patio colouring and even a lovely trip to Southsquare centre for a spot of yoga. Can’t wait to see what the weekend brings ..

🌸 Grand Finale - Farewell Class of 2025

What a beautiful afternoon celebrating our amazing Year 6 leavers at Thornton Primary School! 💫

A garden party full of smiles, laughter, and a few tears as we said goodbye to a truly wonderful group of children.
Thank you for the friendships that will stay with us always.

Wishing each and every one of you the very best as you begin your exciting new chapter at senior school. Shine bright, Class of 2025 — until we meet again. 🌟💛
