I’m excited to be teaching in the new premises of the School of Bodywork, Exeter. 15th and 16th May.
I love this practice of combining the dynamic techniques of Thai Massage into our treatments, so good for both our clients and our own bodies.

We will cover different Thai Table massage techniques adapted for the table, with a focus on appropriate use for a range of musculoskeletal conditions, acute & chronic pain. Learn dynamic stretches and mobilisations with an emphasis on breathwork and deep listening.

Next Thai Massage for the Table day… Exeter
15th and 16th May

I love these techniques and use them every day…so brilliant for the therapist and the client. Releasing muscle chains, mobilising joints and finding freedom and release in the body.

I have recently taken part one of Visceral Manipulation Training with the Barrel Institute. It is a gently, non invasive yet super powerful approach, working with the fascia of the visceral organs. I am amazed by this work and clients are receiving the benefits. With VM we are helping more than digestive issues and back pain, we can also help release old physical and emotional trauma, restrictions from infections and surgery, muscular skeletal pain/restrictions…whilst helping the organs find there rhythm and motility.
If you would like to book a session do get in touch.

Glimpses of Wonder at the Exeter Phoenix ... I have been obsessing over sea creatures this year, lost in metres of white froth - fabric all recycled from Exeter scrapstore.
Have loved exploring costume with the SWDH this term.

Teaching weekend School of Bodywork our focus this time was the neck…so why am I pointing at the ribs you may wonder? Well it is incredible how much our thoracic and specifically our breathing patterns affects our neck. Restrictions within our thoracic region can create irritation our cervical junction. Our scalene muscles and the SCM muscles at the front of the neck attach onto ribs and sternum, if we are mostly upper chest breathing, usually due to stress, this can cause restriction here and lead to headaches and neck discomfort.
So yes, breath well, breath deeply … count 4 deep breaths in to your lower stomach and 5 breaths out!!
